I found the real estate scoring confusing. I understood the one house estate scoring and the three house estate scoring, but the four house estate scoring did not make sense to me. Since a four house estate existed, I would’ve thought you would cross out the lowest visible number, and then score the lowest available number. Otherwise I agree with other commenters. This was the most clear and concise explanation so far!
Thank you for posting this video! I bought this game yesterday totally on a whim at my local FLGS! (I have been eying this one for awhile now) I am excited to try this one out tomorrow night at game night!
Great tutorial. When you add a fence in a row, are then able to restart the scoring, or do you still have to maintain the overall ascending order for the row. E.g. First estate is 2, 4, 5 with a fence added. Are then able to begin a new estate with a 3?
Hello Sue. The entire street needs to be in ascending order, regardless of the placement of fences. It is only if you use a roundabout (from the advanced rules) that you can restart the sequence in a given street.
Question Time! 1. Are the actions compulsory? Can you choose to use only the number ? 2. The +\-2 action. Is there such a house number as 0 or lower. Logically the answer is no but just checking ! 3. With the plans - does the layout on the card have any bearing to the streets. For example Plan 3. Is that 1 lot on street 1, 2 lots on street 2 etc. Or is it any combination ?
Hi Golf Gypsy. 1) No, the actions are not compulsory. 2) House numbers can range from 0-17, but not -1. 3) For the standard plans, the lots may be arranged in any combination. Only the 'fill every house on top/middle/bottom' street plan requires a specific street.
Played the game yesterday, very good explanation - thank you ;) we have played less advanced version without round about, so how do we activate this action?
@@MeepleUniversityThank u! I'm happy to be a part of the class. I've had my channel for a little over a year and am having a blast. That's all it matters. Have a wonderful 4th of July!
I played this game for the first time today and I think it's a really cool flip & write! Only 1 question: If you have a lot with 2 houses, so closed with 1 fence on each side, and you use the action card to increase the value of this lot. Can you then split this lot into 2 lots of 1 house? And does the higher value still apply to lots with 2 houses? Hopefully you can answer my question. (Or you already did in the video and I didn't notice.. 🙈) Greetings, Milou
Hi Milou, dont thinnk so, they are separate. Once you score for "lot 2" real estate value, you cannot include it in other real estate value objectives. Hope that helps! Glad you enjoy the game, this is one of our easy go to game!
@@MeepleUniversity Thanks for your response! I don't mean the objective cards, I mean the action card. The purple one (forgot the name of it), who let you upgrade the value of a lot. Could you then still split a lot with 2 houses in it, after using this purple action card? ☺️
@@MeepleUniversity I watched the video again and I understand it now. You always have the oppurtunity to choose the combination with the Real Estate card and choose a plot you wish to upgrade in points. For example: I always thought that you had to have a plot with 4 houses already, before you choose to upgrade this plot on your sheet. So that's why I thought I could not split the plot into several plots with less houses anymore. Now I understand. Sorry for the misunderstanding. 🙈

I do agree with the fellow gamers, this is the best explanation online. Thanks!
Really appreciate your kind words 😁

Thank you so much🙏🙏. You just play with roundabout if you like, that's it
Thanks for explaining this game, very good video! 👍🏻😃
Glad you liked it!
This is great but I have to squint to see the board. The cards are a decent size but the board looks very small on a mobile phone.
Great explanation.. Best on the web. Thank you!
Thanks so much William :)
