Just came back from Homosassa last month. We helped a friend of ours move there. We rented a pontoon boat, bought beer in the middle of the gulf off another pontoon boat, and swam with the manatees at the springs.
I've had to cancel now two family trips down to Florida, so I'm rewatching these older videos you did down there in order to make up for it. Florida is so much nicer in the early months of the year when it isn't nearly as hot!

Liked the underwater view showing the fish with the black stripe. That fish is called a snook and it was a childhood dream to catch one. It could grow to 100 lbs. (very good eating) and gave quite a fight.
You have to see the Weeki Wachee mermaids at least once in your lifetime. When I was 4 years old, I think that was 1965? I wanted to be a Weeki Wachee mermaid.
Yes, go to Cedar Key! My husband I love it there especially in the fall. There is a little cottage hotel that's dog-friendly too. It's been a while since we've been there. can't remember the name of it
If you go to the TECO power plant in Tampa during the winter, you will see tons of manatees!. I have a really cool Wildlife Center there.
Crystal River RV park can charge $80 a night because it's winter time. I'm a lot of the Northerners come down to escape the frigid weather up there.
In St Petersburg, make sure you see the Chihuly Museum and the art museum there. Perhaps another vacation time?
I believe Robert E Lee had something to do with the placement of this fort. Not sure, need to Google it. It is a good place to snorkel though. (The pieces of the fort that have falling into the Gulf.)
The beach across the street from the Hurricane restaurant is my favorite Beach. You can even rent those chairs that has that cover that pulls over. Haven't been there in a couple years either! Next time you're in Tampa, look up brocados Cuban food it's a little place but boy is very popular and the food is excellent.

My kids loved the mermaid show years ago
I have been enjoying this list, I have one more long one to go. The videos don’t always show up… but I’ll watch when they are there as most of these have been short enough to fit in to my day. So many amazing trips so close to your home! This one looked like a lot of fun.. minus the birds that found their “prime pooping position” above Minitini. Thank you for sharing so much of what you have experienced in your state, Space Coast was a nice surprise and especially interesting and fun. I feel like I’ve gotten well acquainted with Florida!😊

With over a foot of snow on the ground, I had to stare longingly at my SunPass after seeing my favorite Sunshine Skyway Bridge. We went to Fort DeSoto a couple of times when we had the apartment in St. Petersburg. I miss it all terribly!
I lived a bit south of there (Weeki Wachee) in the early 80s. I knew a guy that was a scuba diver and worked on the set for the show.
Dude I only live one hour from place for the fourteen years. Now you got me motivated to go.

Thanks for covering Ft Desoto Park it's on our list too as we have family in St Pete.... Those birds must have been Teradachtyls... Definitely funny not ever using the self service wash bay.. As a ohioan everyone uses the car wash quite frequently to wash the road salt away so our cars don't rust sooner than they do.. BTW- your tow vehicles 3rd brake light is partially burned out.. Lol.. 😁

I visited my folks in Florida and hit up the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. I felt it was nice, sure it's not mind blowing but for $12 it was nice to spend an afternoon there.
it is too bad you didn't stay in Fort Desoto another day! I have gotten a camera so I can mount it on my RV. You inspired me to do so with some of your scenery from your RV!

POWER STEERING FIX : Get a turkey baster at the grocery store and suck out the power steering fluid from the reservoir and put it in an old plastic bottle for disposal. Refill the reservoir with LUCAS Power Steering Fluid. Repeat this process every 4 months and you shouldn't have any more problems. P.S. LUCAS Upper Cylinder Lube and Fuel Injector Cleaner also works great. These will help the Kia keep running longer. Love all your videos. Thanks, Mickey

Hi Robert, it has worked for me. Dirt and metal shavings build up and cause wear. After you change the fluid, change it again in about a month. Then change it every 4 months. This will remove some dirt and worn out fluid. The Lucas Upper Cyl. Lube will lubricate the fuel pump, fuel injectors and the piston rings. You can use it every other month. You do a lot of driving.

Rumor has it that the mermaids ditch their fins for a pair of legs and hang out at the bars at nearby Spring Hill after work.
Except for all the bird poo it was a lovely visit with lots of good food.

What’s the towing capacity of your Kia? Does it have a towing package? I’m suv shopping
It is an old Sorento, 3500lbs tow capacity and it did come originally with a hitch receiver. I added the break controller, etc.
Traveling Robert Do you have any issues towing your travel trailer with the Sorrento? What’s your Winnebago’s GVWR? I’m interested in getting a Kia suv like yours
