This summer, instead of foundation I had been using a tinted mineral sunscreen and setting it with powder then applying the rest of my makeup. I liked it so much I have continued to do it and probably will! Eliminates a bunch of steps.
I love your concealer routine. It really does look skinlike. I don't think I could powder prior though, not with my dry skin (except my forehead; that gets oily!). The Milani primer looks really nice.
I like the fresh look, but it's more work than just putting foundation on, and just being done with the coverage aspect. Yes, I'm lazy 😆 During summer, I did wear concealer only on my under eye, with no foundation, and it looked ok, but I definitely prefer my medium to full coverage foundation, and adding a small amount of concealer since the foundation already covers a good majority of my super dark circles, and other uneven areas on my face. I wear a thin layer, and buff it in so it doesn't look heavy. My current favorite is either the IT Cosmetics CC Cream or the Elf CC Cream, and Maybelline Fit Me concealer. My favorite cream blush right now is from Moira; outstanding formula, lasts all day, and Affordable! Moira has really been on my radar recently, and have enjoyed everything I've tried so far; cream blush, single cream eyeshadow pots, and their shimmers are gorgeous too!
I definitely get that!! This routine was more so to achieve a bare skin look versus a fully covered look. I find when I use my normal medium-to-full coverage foundations I end up looking a little flat which I then remedy with contour/highlight and then by the end I have a full face of makeup on 😂
Thanks for the shout out, Miranda! I liked seeing you try this trend/look with less than perfect skin. I, too, have less than perfect skin and I feel so much more self-conscious without my full coverage foundation! I am also new-ish to makeup, so I like trying different colors, products, etc. and just playing with new things.

My version is NYX bare with me concealer on the face, Loreal age Perfect concealer under the eyes, set the whole face with the Loreal Infallible Powder foundation using a large domed brush for speed (Wet n Wild), and RCMA no color powder under the eyes. Then I finish with either the Physicians Formula x Wiyley palette or the Breakfast Detention vol 2 face palette. Powdered down lipliner & tinted lip balm. Brow mascara & brow pencil (Loreal). Then I use a plum cream eyeshadow pencil from ELF and the Physicians Formula Detention mascara you used. And NYX matte setting spray.
I just got the Hero cosmetics rescue balm in the green tinted version and have been really liking it. It definitely covers some of my redness from hyperpigmentation and active breakouts while also helping heal those spots. Helps enough that I feel comfortable just using concealer instead of a foundation as well on the days I don’t feel like doing a full face.
Thanks for recommending the Honest Beauty brow gel! I have full dark brows and I use a clear brow gel. I've been using Milani's The Clear Brow, but it feels kind of crunchy even with a small amount. So I'm going to try the Honest one in clear!
You are so beautiful!! Is there a drugstore foundation with light to medium coverage that you would recommend? I bought the Fenty skin tint a while ago, I'm just not trying to spend that much again😅
I've been doing almost exactly the same routine lately - since covid started, I guess (since I had no reason to wear a full face most days). I do either no foundation or a tinted moisturizer and sometimes under eye concealer (but honestly I usually skip both!), brows (mine need filling in but I just do a light fill with a pencil) and mascara. I definitely want to check out that Honest beauty lip product!! You look gorgeous as always Miranda!!

I always have issues- my natural skintone is super fair, but concealers that match my skin are too light to cover my rosacea. 🤷🏻♀️Annoying, but definitely a first world problem.
Ahh I get you -- in that case a tinted moisturizer may work better to get all-over evenness. When it's just acne/dark spots I find this method to be better than all over layers.

I oscillate, sometimes go more bare faced but other times I'm all in for the full glam look...I like options!😉
