You can use both in the same pipeline. You can actually do a roundtrip with a model from maya to cascadeur and back. Setup your figure, export to Cascadeur, use the nice autophysics etc for the main joints, then export the animation data back to maya and finetune stuff like expressions and clothing there. Best of both worlds.
6:50 ahahaha, you went hardcore starting that point of the video, it's like Eminem's Rap god, the start was slow but you killed it at the end. Nice video!
Cascaduer is alot like Reallusion Iclone. Great animation software as long as you restrict yourself to biped humanoid type Characters. the moment your client hands you a character style sheet with something like an octopus or some other non anthropomorphized character you are stuck looking for another Solution. and unlike Iclone/Blnder/Maya/ Max you need to export you cascadure Character to a proper 3DCC to rig the face for talking characters. you are better off just doing it all in Blender/Maya.
true, but these extreme cases with something other than a biped are RARE, so Cascadeur will have its place in the coming years, while you can still do everything else with other tools suited to non biped figures.
@@MrSheduur Scene prop interaction ,camera shot planning rough lipsinc performances All need to done in your main 3DCC even with only bipeds. The auto physics are Cool and all but I can’t see leaving Maya or blender and jumping over the cascadure just for that one trick. I will do that for ragdoll collission physics, ,with my old Endorphin software, but not just for some auto secondary motion I can easily create on a non destructive layer in Maya or even blender (with addons) But to each their own.
I've never used Maya before and find Cascadeur quite powerful. However, is it true that Maya is more powerful than Cascadeur and Blender for animation?
If you have the skills to code and write scripts for ik/fk switching, shapekeys and optimized topology for animation, blender/maya is superior in terms of an overall pipeline tool
@@diazostreta4473 true, but cascadur is basically a brand new software and still has time to develop. Maybe one day cascadur will be the Houdini of animation software (Houdini being a specialized particle and other effects simulation tool that far out paces maya, blender and the rest, for anyone who doesn't know) but until then it's a really promising humanoid character animation tool :)
@@Tsero0v0 Maya is a beast but Blender is free and has a lot of addons that assist with expanding animation plus Cascadeur has a free addon to transfer animation to Blender so you get the best of both worlds
bruh depeds on use people always forget the use you can use maya for anything but casceduer will give you an edge for quick game animations that have a motion capture feel to it
Maya Indie: $290 per year for individual artists who earn less than $100,000 per year from creative work, but can't use it for projects worth more than $100,000 Or professional: Annual subscription: $1,875 per year
As the first step, animate through the cascadeur.
Then, move to the Maya for add more details to the animation.❤
Cascadeur is best for me. I use it and then import into blender. Its a really really great software.

The weight painting is a biiiiiiiiig necessity in my book.
Unreal engine introduced new one rig animation plugin😮
Which plugin?

Please make a video how to export camera animation from cascadauer to Unreal Engine?

Is Maya free?
no
Maya Indie: $290 per year for individual artists who earn less than $100,000 per year from creative work, but can't use it for projects worth more than $100,000
Or professional:
Annual subscription: $1,875 per year
You can get it free with an educational licence. But if you do that you cannot use it for commercial use
Maya is the best
next time try not to speak like a robocop
was that the only thing you could focus on?
