Amazing review format, exactly what i was looking for with the side by side comparison and actual footage. New follower ✌🏽
Damn your narration, editing, shots are absolutely amazing!
I loved your review. One of the best I have seen so far! Thank you :)
This is exactly what a review video should be like!! Great! Thank you :)
The most relaxing review I’ve ever watched 👏🏾
one of the best reviews ive seen
Wow, really high quality production. I loved the beginning shot where you placed both Pockets on the table too.
U ARE AMAZING! LOVE THIS VIDEO! QUALITY CONTENT! OMG IM JUST IN AWE! LOVE LOVE THIS!
This has to be the best comparison video ever. Looking forward to more!
Nice comparison and you have the smoothest radio-voice I ever heard !! It´s relaxing listening to it !! Keep up the good work !! 👍👍
Thank you very much!
Certainly does and his comparison has really helped me with my decision. I’m going for the 3. Cheers
Your voice and music soothes me so much. I'll play this review over and over if only to calm myself. Oh and top notch review too :))
Amazing review!! Amazing edits.
A concise, substantive, practical, intelligent comparison. Thanks - again.
Your voice give that peace that I needed. I have the pocket 2 by the way
This is how a review should be done! Love the side by side comparison and point system!! First time seeing this.
insane work! amazing results!
Great review, thank you for your time
Wonderful review🎉!!!!!Thank you
such a great comparison. Damn. Well done.
Fantastic comparison, thank you!
Thank you. I bought the pocket 2 on the strength of your pocket 2 reviews and its been a great camera to get me started on my channel. I do feel like I've outgrown it now so was very interested to see what the Pocket 3 had to offer whilst looking at mirrorless cameras too.
send me the pocket 2 then 🥲
Thank you for your awesome comparison video. 🙂
Another top quality production and Kudos to your good lady for her input also :)
Thanks so much for the review 👍
What a great succint review, thanks!!👍
presentation makes me want to buy one now. great vid!
Nice review! Thanks ❤
Concise and clear. Thanks!
Excellent comparison man! I just ordered my Pocket 3 😎
I always anticipate your unbias review. Great review! I'd like to highlight that the Pocket 3 provides you with the flexibility to control both zooming and joystick speed.
Thank you. Awesome review.
Nice review man, I just found about the DJI and I'm starting to create short form content, reels, shorts, tiktoks. What do you recommend the 2 or the 3?
First I wanna say, what acreat review! So smooth, well added music and comfortable voice. I enjoyed it a lot.
Second: in regards to the low light example, i understand the more sensitive sensor goes to Pocket 3 but which of the two actually looked most like you saw it with your own eyes in the moment of shooting that scene?
Great video. And you have amazing voice!
Just a stellar review.
Great comparison ! Thank you 👍 I still using the OP 2, and I'm very happy with, but I would like to afford the OP 3 one day. Best regards 🙂
I've watched 3 other videos comparing the 2 and 3. This by far is the best in terms of composition and information. Kudos!
thank for this video. ^^good job.
Great comparison!
Thanks for the quality review
Thanks for commenting.
Good detailed review!
Amazing review I just got this and going to keep that or zv1 and so hope this form factor will get me out more as I'm a shy person
I find going out to capture the world with a camera creates a reason to go to places I normally might not bother going to. You have a task to fulfil; to try to capture something interesting or something beautiful that's worth sharing with others. And that is the motivation.
Thank you for your presentation.
excellent video, instantly subscribed
Great video, thank you ❤
Great comparison. i had pocket 2 for 2 years and sold it half year ago. Now i have only iphone 13 pro for my videos. Can say that Pocket 3 footage look much better than P2 and definitely better than iPhone 13 pro footage. I think on the phone digital stabilisation destroys all quality of the image.
Thanks for the review
No problem.
Ordering Pocket 3 tonight. 😊
Great video. I've got a P2 and really holding off. You've made it harder 😅
Excellent video with perfect comparison. And your voice is so attractive. 💕
thx. Good review 👌
Fantastic review. Its the osmo 2 for me.
The P3 is clearly better in many areas, dynamic range, low light etc. But the picture is still good enough on the P2 and the big factor in it’s favour is the size, just fits so easily into pockets, even with the protective case, and is almost unnoticeable when filming, very discreet.
Thanks for the review. I came because I saw a complaint about the focal length leading to too much background blur. The tree at 3:58 is interesting and I dont know that I like how it blurred. Is the camera capable of infinite focus if there is no subject?
really beautifully made video
WONDERFUL video, I thank you to share. Out of curiosity: I use to watch videos in 4K on large TVs around 70". Although DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is very good in everything, I noticed that it does not have excellent definition. Could you tell me if I use a video in 4K on TVs of large size, does it cause loss of video quality? Do you have experience in this? I would like to buy DJI Osmo Pocket 3 in a few days. I hope you can tell me something as soon as possible.
Thank you
beautifully done.
Great video but the music you are using between 2min and beyond, what is that? The link you provide is dead.
Which is best for nighttime and indoor videos, DJI Pocket 3 or Insta360 Ace Pro?
Superb revivew. For real
Timestamp 1:56 - the photo from the P2 was way sharper than the one from P3. Any particular reason for that?
Great video. Having both, I can say that the P3 is an overall better camera by far. However, I feel the gimbal algorithm is a bit better on the P2. The P2 also has slower gimbal and zoom movements at setting 1 which is more desirable to me. I have to agree that the 4k 120 on the P3 is pretty epic. The low light performance is better on the P3 although the P2 is pretty amazing.
Do you think it is better enough to justify the price bump? I can see P3 is better in most aspects, but I still cannot decide because of the price difference (£379 vs £619)
I've been thinking about this... I've owned my P2 for many years so I have a lot of experience with it and I know it like the back of my hand. The P3 is a superior camera in almost every way. I've been using the P3 for some time now and I honestly feel the gimbal algorithm is better on the P2. Example, If I pan around while walking the gimbal will follow behind as normal but I feel it does not center itself as well as the P2 at the end of the pan movement. I'm constantly hitting "re-center" or making a corrective movement to get the camera to face straight. Even the active tracking seems to "drift" occasionally and I'll have to "recenter" However, when that happens I'm usually vlogging in a moving vehicle so maybe the gyro data is getting skewed. I generally don't have an issue with the active tracking when I'm vlogging normally. At the end of the day the P3 is a better camera and I've been using that over the P2. -- I hope that helps
@@anthonyanzalone Nice breakdown! I'm also own both cameras and I agree with you on all points. And yes, the gimbal behavior on p2 is more reliable and predictable. On p3 sometimes it surprises me not in a good way.
@@anthonyanzalone as someone who is very new at this, would you recommend the P2 or P3?
This is the review i was looking for. Thanks alot, very helpful. Aslo may i ask what software you use to edit your videos?
A good video really helpful
another good review, cheers! What do you reckon about the pocket osmo vs pocket 3 regarding tracking? In your review of osmo vs 2, osmo seemed pretty smooth. a shame pocket 3 doesnt have the control wheel
If you mean how does the tracking fair between the Pocket 1 and Pocket 3 I can't test them side by side as I no longer have the Pocket 1, but the Pocket 1 tracked really well compared to the Pocket 2. Maybe as well as the Pocket 3 or close to it. I don't understand what went so wrong with the Pocket 2's tracking and why they were never able to fix it.
Nice video!
so is it worth upgrading from P2 to P3?
Well I'm glad I made a good choice with the Go2 version with a company that sounds like they have a great outreach and engagement philosophy, allowing promising young content creators a chance to try their products. That's often a deal-breaker for me, I really dislike companies that seemed cheap and frankly dismissive at times and don't care for those up and coming yet end up often becoming their greatest assets.
man shut up.. that's not even a gimbal camera..
thanks you much
Omg your voice should be used for every single review video ever made
Your voice is so soothing. 😃
Please can you say me what’s that for an adapter in 0:58 for pocket 2??
Are you talking about the controller wheel?
Do you think the 2x zoom could be used in vertical mode, for social media stories/reels/TicTok - will the 1500px (40mm) be ok for a 1980p resolution height.
Zoom on the P3 is no better than cropping when editing, so it is best avoided. The greater number of pixels on the P2 allowed better than cropping results, so a point to the P3 there!
The side by side photo comparison of the books seems clearly better on the Pocket 2 which I’m surprised by and think it deserves a point for.
Yes it's definitely sharper. But when not zooming in to an extreme degree or printing out a large print the difference is not really noticeable. The more important thing for me is that many of my Pocket 2 photos are out of focus as the tiny display does not reveal that at the time of the shot. That's why I gave the point to the Pocket 3. It's a better stills camera.
The Screen Size difference is the REAL difference. Plus the 3 will still be great in 5 years time ...
I upgraded my Pocket 1 to the Pocket 3. I got used to the quick video dowload to my phone and editing on the go. With the pocket 3 I have issues dowloading the footage with the bluetooth connection.. Is anyone else having this issue?
Does anyone know if after the initial setup with the phone, if the camera constantly needs to be connected to the phone or wifi when using it? I'd like to use it standalone.
After activation it never needs to be connected again.
Nice, thanks!
Hello . What program to you to use
On your PC for video editing ?
Vegas Pro
Man I would love to buy the pocket 3 but the price on the pocket 2 is so hard to beat
Please what song was playing at 4:14- 4:52
Good comparison. However, having both the 1 and 2, I always use the 1. The 2 just didn't looks as good to me, plus I had issues using with the mic input (possibly defective).
I suspect that the 1 might've scored slightly higher than the 2 due to the better tracking on the 1.
Yes, in my Pocket 2 one year review I said I thought the 1 was a better purchase for the money.
@@Roos-Reviews I recall, yes
Don't forget the FOV was less on the 1 vs. the 2. This can give you the impression that the 1 is sharper when it probably is closer to the same. However, even with that I would not disagree with you. I don't know why, but in many of my shots with the 2 there is seemingly a haze over the image that I never had with the 1. No clue why that is, but it drives me crazy. Giving some thought to moving to the 3. The only things holding me back are price, wish they extended the FOV more, and the bulkier size is a little disappointing.
Grear review! Just one question how is the mic. with wind noise? Pocket 2 had a wind furry thing
Great review and a little different approach which I appreciate. Cant afford either. I blame the 1%
I have the pocket 2 and wondering if I should buy the Pocket 3. This video was very helpful to see the differences! thank you!
So if you were to use your Pocket 2 just to do stuff like reviewing power tools would you upgrade?
@@daveredd9832 hi Dave, I think the Pocket 2 is a great camera and the biggest drawback for me is the small screen size. I normally connect my phone so I have a bigger screen and that works fine for me. Maybe someday I'll get the Pocket 3 but for now, I decided not to upgrade. Hope that helps!
@@adamagave Thanks mate it would seem that from other stuff I have read and watched the Pocket 2 is still a good option. And a lot cheaper.😃
how much are they ?
Another fab review 👏. Freewell have given away so many filter sets I can not find a genuine review, do you think the filters are really necessary or can a lot be fixed in post. I just bought the Ulanzi AM18 mics which are good for the price but after spending A$920 so far I'm not sure I want to spend another A$200 on filters. Your videos look great, have you used filters? 🙏
To get a 180 degree shutter angle for smooth motion blur in bright sun, filters are necessary on this camera. I use a variable ND on my mirrorless camera, but personally I have never bothered using NDs on any of my Pockets or action cameras. I have the Neewer set of NDs for this, but the hassle of carrying them, keeping them clean and trying not to lose them when using little cameras like this puts me off taking them out with me.
If I could semi-permanently attach a variable ND to the Pocket 3 and leave it on all the time I would use it a lot, but being magnetic and easy to fall off; it's just a bit too fiddly for me. I did not use any filters in my reviews.
While I don't have the P3, I have the 1 and 2. I almost always use ND's on them to get a more cinematic look using the 180 degree rule.
If you want cinematic motion blur, they're essential.
@@Roos-Reviews Thanks for the advice, I see the Neewer's are sold out but I might just see how I go for a while. They are small and fiddly and I am a novice. 👍
Great summary, although it could be said that some factors could be weighted more than others. Which?. Well, I'm not going there, and I don't blame you for avoiding that rabbit hole. Of course, with its one inch sensor the Pocket 3 would be better in a rabbit hole anyway. I wonder if you have had time to explore the excellent new audio feature just added - four channel audio, and that works even with the internal mics alone, because it then records a wave file separately, as well as the AAC audio in the video file, which I believe is a lossy format. So now you can use a pristine audio format when editing. Unique to the P3?. Dunno. Also it allows you to use binaural in ear mics via USB C while also recording the internals, which would give better results than the binaurals when talking to camera. So many pissibolities!
Thanks for the new video idea; "Pocket 2 vs Pocket 3 - Down The Rabbit Hole, Literally". Which factors do you mean? I test the mic quality briefly when doing these reviews, but I don't often use the onboard audio from any of my cameras. And so I haven't really been following the audio feature upgrades. The mics on the P3 are very good for a pocket camera, but the little projects I work on have no need for it. But yes, the more pissibolities, the better!
@@Roos-Reviews I look forward to that rabbit hole video! Factors I was thinking of include, for example, the one inch sensor being worth 3 points not just one - that kind of thing. But it would get complicated and maybe a matter of personal taste of course.
@@Ozpeter Yes, also I wanted to give the display more than one point because it solves more than one problem for me, but I wanted to keep it simple and as fair as possible. I could have given the P2 a point for being less fragile. I have dropped that camera and not damaged anything. I do not feel at all confident that dropping the P3 with the display in horizontal mode would leave me with a fully functional camera.
Great comparison, definitely worth upgrading from P1 to P3. Can you confirm if the P3 does or doesn't do 4k 120p in Vertical mode? If it doesn't can you just flip the device like you would in P1 and P2 to get this? Thanks a lot!
No, it's only 4k120 in landscape mode, and yes, you can turn the OP3 sideways to shoot vertical
The only way to get that is to hold it sideways. I just tried it and it works fine that way. The gimbal works normally and you get 4K120. You will just need to flip the footage to 9:16 in post.
@@Wave_ZoneThanks a lot for the reply! 🙏
@@Roos-ReviewsThank you for clarifying! 🙏☺️
@@AllinCrete you're welcome - anytime!👍
I just bought a GoPro hero 12 and I love it. I was considering getting a gimbal, but the pocket 2 can be had now for about twice the price of the gimbal. Any thoughts on whether you think the pocket 2 is worth it in 2024? It’s under $300 now and readily available. I’m mostly going to use it alongside my hero 12, but for lower light conditions. I know the pocket three has great low light capability, but it looks like the pocket two is no slouch in low light. I would love your thoughts. Do you think it’s worth it in 2024 since it’s under $300 now?
For low light the P2 will get you much nicer footage than the GoPro. The tiny display may present a bit of a challenge when you're used to the large display on the GoPro. But yes, the P2 is still the second best mini gimbal camera available and with its variable focus lens it can get more cinematic looking shots than an action camera because it can get a little bit of background separation. I think the Hero and P2 go well together for a lightweight portable shooting kit.
P2 is very good in photo compared to P3 especially like what you mentioned on the 8s vs 1s. Video comparison doesn't much different shown in your video, as we are not professional videographer. Professional videographer won't use this anyway. Will go for the P2 according to you review. Thanks.
The P2 is a great camera and cheaper than the P3. You'll get similar results most of the time (if you aren't shooting slow motion and low light).
5:07 what's the name of the music track? someone pls tell me 🥲
I almost ordered a 2 unil i watched this. Buy once cry once right, til next year anyway
bro really lives in heaven
🚩So far I'm shooting on a Pocket 2 and haven't fully mastered it. I think for the future I need to buy a Pocket 3 for the kit).👍
Does it have a built-in battery like pocket 2? Or can you purchase spare batteries for P3?
The camera is the part on the top with the lens.
@@Roos-Reviews 😂 Can you remove the battery or is it built in please?
Unfortunately it is built in, not user-replaceable.
Shame.
That was my only reluctance on the P3… I ordered it anyway since you can purchase battery handle attachments for $70… and DJI will service it and replace the battery for $30 with free labor… still I hate not being able to just swap out the battery
❤I am amazed to see DJI Osmo 3 Vibrant feature in such a compact design boon to vlogging ,face tracking is like magic it delivered to me 2 days late in india but I got it for 39,990 with accessory in offer, if you are from India you can ask me the DJI Osmo website I will share the link
Nice vid...but for me ( P2) owner it's not worth the money buying the (P3)....for what i do with it.
It's better not to waste the money if you don't need the upgraded features.
Очень крутое видео!
Is either of them capable of vertical shooting? “Instagram reel” size to be specific
They both are.
Do you think it's worth the upgrade if you already have the 2?
What do you use it for?
