- Welcome back everyone to another LEGO Star Wars video and today I have another LEGO Star Wars theory for you all. This is not for any 2024 LEGO Star Wars Set Leaks or Rumors but actually for a possible LEGO Star Wars 2025 Set. So we all know in 2023 LEGO released the LEGO Coruscant Guard Gunship and it was met with quite a lot of controversy. With the 2024 LEGO Star Wars Retirement list and a recent LEGO Star Wars designer interview that came out I have a theory that our gunship on shelves now could be getting replaced sooner then we thought...

Prob cuz it wasn’t well received due to it being 10 years since the past set and it’s not a regular gunship everyone wants. I think it’s a cool idea but it was bad timing. However I think you’re theory was much smarter and very interesting
So what your telling me is that of your theory is true, I could have just saved up and get a better gunship in later years, if that is true, do I just start a gunship collection?

I don't think that it is going to be gunships in every legion. I think it will more likely be that they will do each different vehicle in a different legion.
A blue Y Wing, a yellow AT-OT, a green sniper tank, an orange Arc-170, etc. That's my theory.
That allows them to satisfy adult Star Wars collectors with canon vehicles with unique Minifigures, while also making a colorful toy that catches the eye of kids and parents looking for something fun even though they might not have a deep interest in Star Wars.
You make a gray AT-OT and you sell a gray AT-OT to Star Wars fans. You make a yellow AT-OT and you sell a yellow AT-OT to Star Wars fans, and to parents who think it is some sort of logging machine, space bus, or bug.

Hot take: the clone trooper demand is High right now and lego sees that. That’s why they’re releasing gunships, fighter tanks, at-te’s etc. I think a regular gunship is likely in 2025 and I think it’ll follow in the footsteps of the at-te and be revenge of the sith themed. I think it will include the 212th again plus maybe an airborne. This would be a FANTASTIC opportunity to have a crab droid. (To summarize I think in a way it’ll be the gunship version of the at-te with hopefully a crab droid.
Honestly I can see where you’re coming from, and maybe it is 212th based but more specialist type clones. Airborne/etc. then they take the criticism and pivot and maybe include that crab droid and also maybe a real p2 pilot for the gunship?
Maybe that’s some of it has been crap because they’re rushing it out

Idk about y’all, but I loved how they made the 2023 gunship another theme than the standard one. I think they should continue going forward in the future with legion-colored vehicles

I reckon they are not gonna retire the UCS Falcon in 2026 so they can bring out a new version for 2027 (50th anniversary for Star Wars) I definitely do not want that to be real, fans do not want a third UCS falcon. 💀
Yeah the AT-TE is a much better set and I think your right about Disney wanting the Coruscant out for this year but I don't think it has done well so Lego probably wants it off the shelves to prepare for a new one.
If they released gunships in other colors or designs…day 1 Im there! But I would also like them to release Separatist sets too! Theres so much untapped potential and designs that could look amazing in Lego!
I got the Coruscant Guard Gunship for Christmas, and I love it. I modded the doors and got rid of the stud shooters. It’s even better now.
If it does retire, it probably will be to make room for a new gunship, but they seem to change the retirement dates on sets fairly often, so I'm not taking the December 31st date as a guarantee right now.
In recent years there has only been like 2 star wars sets a year maximum that change retirement dates from beginning to end but who knows the gunship may end up being one of em. Only time will tell
@@LifeBricks I could be wrong, but didn't a bunch of 2023 sets (including this one) get their retirement dates bumped down to the end of this year instead of next year? Sets like both Falcons or the AT-TE (among a few others) also got extensions. I do think a large number of sets getting retired early could make it more likely if they have big plans for the next two years.

i think it would be smart to do a plo's bro's gunship with the new wolf figure and then get turbo tank with gree and luminara so we will have all three

It is strange given the fact that Lego has often been shown to have a lot of leeway when making Star Wars sets from Disney, even when making sets for new movies

I want a 501st gunship, then move forward with other colors, but make it bigger like the legacy sets because the current isn’t worth getting.

The most prominent color I see for a upcoming gunship is the regular one. They made a ucs republic gunship in plain white, so they are aware of that and many ucs sets are also playscale sets of the same variant in shelf’s around the same time ex. Luke’s x-wing and the ucs x-wing and the play-scale razor crest and ucs razor crest
maybe Disney is putting the corasant guard gun ship in a show soon or maybe a like a flash back. thats why they made everyone make it!
Maybe we will get a plain gunship in 2025 and lego will release a new wave of 'Gunship addon packs' or smth where they will have a couple of clone troopers and the pieces + instructions necessary to modify the gunship to that legion's design.
I think when the set retires this year, every year they could maybe bring out another one
This is the smartest theory on this matter and I think it’s highly possible I did notice that too going to my target and seeing other red gunship sets 😂
This cap I'll admit it the connections you pointed out are very promising and seem to hold up very well, i believe it's retiring early because it failed so hard with all the mistakes the set had.i don't think we will get different colored gunships because of consistency lego never has been consistent with releasing the gunship or the AT-TE it took them 9 years to release another AT-TE and 10 years to release a new gunship so why all of sudden do they want to supposedly release a different colored gunship 2 years down the line in 2025 it makes zero sense to do that when it took them 10 years to make another gunship, then again i might get proven wrong.

Maybe the next gunship can have 2 sticker sheets one for standard Gunship and one for Munalist Gunship. They did that for Avengers Quinn Jet with Avengers sticker sheet and Shield sticker sheet.
Love the theory videos! It is definitely a possibility to make a few recolored sets. It has to be cheaper than redesigning an entire new set and still would be desirable.

I really don’t see a regular gunship coming next year. What Lego is going to do imo is they’ll discontinue the coruscant guard one cause it’s selling poorly. Then they’ll put out another one in another 10 years just like how they did up until the coruscant guard one. Unless Lego actually comes to their senses and realize that we want more gunships, then maybe they’ll release another one sooner, I just don’t see one releasing next year though. Sucks for me to say, but knowing Lego, that’s what they’ll do.

This is a very interesting theory. Definitely interesting how the gunship is retiring so early, but it would be nice to see the regular Gunship come back. Hopefully, LEGO also sees the issues with Commander Fox, improves on those and Fox can return with a better appearance.

It might just be me, but I believe when I checked in like october or november last year, the AT-TE was set to retire in mid 2024, so it seems like Lego isn't afraid to change retirement dates, leading me to believe the gunship may actually be on shelves into 2025
I think the did the coruscant style because of season 3 of the mandalorian. Yeah it’s technically a clone wars set but they maybe assumed the hype would be there from the grogu chase and so they did it that way.

Theory one: they are coming out with another gunship that is better
Theory two: it is retiring because of the inaccuracy of parts of the gunship and the charters
Theory three: it failed
Theory four: a lot of Star Wars sets, if they have a max of set like 50 sets is the most or something like that

Theory 3 100%. it’s selling poorly, so that’s why it’s getting discontinued early.
if they do come out with a new one hopefully they make it almost like a 3 in 1 set. with different stickers and parts tomato it more customizable.
Don’t think its gonna happen; there’s no way LEGO would put that much thought into something like this.
The possibility of new gunships is always a nice idea, especially if we get more unique clones like with the Fighter Tank. Maybe the lilac/gray troopers we saw on Coruscant in ROTS as they prepare to help the Wookies.
However, I believe a standard gunship should have largely just clones and some battle droids. No real named characters like Palpatine or named Jedi. I would rather have a plain jedi in the style of "Jedi Bob" for custom OCs for the buyers.
For the legion-specific gunships, I would really like them to be like the AT-TE and just the figures be clones, maybe the commander/officer included like what we got in Cody. Let jedi like Plo-Koon, Stass Allie, Luminara, etc. appear in other smaller sets. Maybe a return of the personalized line of Jedi starfighters that we got in the past as compliments to the gunships.
I hope they make a better gunship but I’m very happy that they are retiring the corosaunt one as now maybe later on in the coming years that set will become more rare? Idk

I dont think we are getting another gunship in 2025. Makes no sense for Lego to release one so soon after they retire the old one considering they’ve never done that for any gunship in the past. Come to think of it im not sure they have ever done that before for a vehicle. Release a new one months after the old one retires. Besides, they didn't do anything big for the 20th anniversary of AOTC so i doubt we will get much for ROTS
Coruscant Guard Colour scheme was chosen by Disney for Toys as I believe this was originally meant to be the colour scheme for the Gunship in the Grogu Escape scene in Mando S3. However they then changed the colour in post production due to how it looked on screen for whatever reason. By this point the toys were already in production.

Personally I don’t want any new clone sets until they fix the helmet holes. I used to think that you and Ryan were overreacting but it really is a pain in the butt and just not cost effective to keep buying GCC helmets as replacements. Why should I have to pay extra for my clones just to look halfway decent? It’s getting ridiculous at this point

Gunship was great minus being overpriced by about 25 dollars and being laughably smaller. Hearing the argument about it being more in scale with minifigs is a joke.
I think what we really need is a few more sets that depict craft, areas and characters that first appeared in Revenge of the Sith. Next year is the 20th anniversary and we still got barely anything, the only thing we got so far if it is true is the Providence Class Dreadnaught. I really hope we get more soon.

Dear Members of the Lego Star Wars Community, I am trying to find this old Lego Clone Wars animation I haven’t seen in about 8-10 years and I haven’t been able to find it on UA-cam so far. I cannot remember the title. It was this massive Republic v Sepratists battle and I remember being amazed that this kid had all the sets. It starts out with an opening crawl, then four clones on an outpost, only to be surprised by the massive droid army outside. The battle ends with the clone army being defeated and failing to save Yoda who is held in a gray jail unit. All seems lost until Indiana Jones arrives and somehow defeats the remaining separatists and General Grievous, afterward saving Yoda. There’s lots of humor throughout and I think it was from around 2008-2009, as the Clone Wars Yoda minifig is used but the old 2005 figure for Grievous. I remember other obscure things, like Grievous saying ‘just as Count Dooku predicted’ and Commander Fox dying on the 7667 Dropship set.
Does anyone else remember this? Is it still on UA-cam? as I looked though old Nostalgia playlists and can’t find it, I’ve also tried every title that would describe the video. Does anyone know the title or at least remember this as well?

Another gunship...! Hum... maybe it's s possibility but for now I don't think so! To many great stuff they can reduce, like the T6 they just did, so I assume that the midi scale are the only review they will do this year! Seems Lego is going for new stuff and I personally apreciate that effort!
I get the ideas doing something new or different but focus on fan wants not just corporate interests

Personally, I think that in summer 2024 there will be another clone vehicle (probably a trubo tank) and that Lego will only want to keep 2 clone vehicles. They had to choose to fire the gunship because it sold less well than the at te.

Maybe it's retiring so early because all any of you guys do is complain and as a result it hasn't sold well
I will continue to defend this gunship too it's brutal end. It is literally the best build. Sure maybe it's a little downscaled and the doors suck but it looks very sleek. The old gunships look too blocky and the wings are really short. The more correct looking wings on the new one and just the overall more appealing looking build makes it win over all of them in my opinion. And If they make a new gunship, I hope they fix the issues so you stop hating like a little privileged baby.
