What do you think about Truckersedge platform to find carriers? They can filter what state and the size fleet they have. I was able to speak with a few but some didn’t need it! Do you recommend to only reach out to brand new carriers or find carriers that are already ready roll?!
To utilize the truckers edge platform is a great strategy as a secondary way to acquire drivers! Although, primarily you want to target carriers who have the time to get set up with you, and get rollin.
As this video is a couple of years old, do you think the 7% average dispatcher charge is still accurate? Also, you mention invoicing the carriers/drivers. Do they usually pay right away, once the load is delivered, or do you have to chase them for the payment?

How many hours a day/week to run four trucks part time and keep my day job?
Ideally, if you had 4 trucks each running a dedicated local lane, you could keep your full time job, and spend no more than 8-10 hours per week facilitating your truckers. If they are not dedicated lanes, it would be difficult to keep your full time job, and do both. I hope I was able to answer your question! 😁

Organization, and room to operate.. but it’s totally up to you, if you can operate effectively on a single screen laptop then go for it
