I just learned the "+" operator really is not needed anymore, but the "-" operator can still be useful for narrowing down a search.

Instead of using quotes ,you can also use *verbatim* option in tools ...it will also give you the exact word to word search result.

To avoid copyright strike on UA-cam video or some other business- Do Google image search, look for *Tools* option right below search box. From new line opened below, click on *Usage rights* . Choose *Labeled for reuse*

This is just great. Many of the simplest ways to search in Google I have yet to try. I only knew about stock searches and advanced searches. This'll be helpful to read science articles.

I thought Google had done away with the ability to search with boolean expressions. I am SO delighted to see I can again search with the "+" and get meaningful results.

QUESTION TO THIS FORUM - If I enter 3 different words into the search engine, my three chosen words are slightly highlighted in the results. However, when I click on one of the links, my highlighted words are no longer highlighted within the website or document.
Years ago, Google had this feature available. The chosen key words were highlighted in bright yellow both within the search results AND within the website or document.
Does anyone know a trick to have the key words appear ''within'' the resulting webpage or document???
Much like the + and - operators, Google search also has the AND and OR operators. For example, I can search for iTunes OR Spotify and I'll get pages that mention one or the other. If I search iTunes AND Spotify I'll get pages that mention both, but without having a direct relation. (try it and see what I mean)
Note that these operators have to be used in all caps to work.
AND and OR are also great search operators. I don't use them as much as I should. 🙂
Or try Googling Pictures of white women with their children. Will horrify you.
You don’t need to use AND because Google will do this automatically.
No, it won't. It will give you pages that have both terms but also pages that have one or the other. Try it out, you'll see the results are different with and without AND.
