I was dealing with one of these which is very similar (fx 6120 cpu), but the case was badged HPE (like a mid/low-tier business pc), and not as an envy/beats. Did a power supply....replaced the video card (the original failed and the super old one the customer put in failed)..in the end a few years later the motherboard croaked. For some reason the hard drive was set up in RAID mode even though it was only one drive, and because of this, I had to clone it with a dd command instead of clonezilla to it's new solid state drive before throwing that solid state drive in their new computer that has a good motherboard!
PCIe M.2 adapter cards are a thing, and this machine has three free PCIe slots, so you totally could install an NVMe SSD (or three) in this machine. Based on that PC's age, those are probably PCIe 3.0 ×1 slots, which offer more bandwidth (985 MB/s) than SATA (550 MB/s). They're not as fast as newer PCIe versions (5.0 is 4032 MB/s/lane) and/or slots with multiple lanes, though.
that m.b. looks a lot like the rev.1 HP Z workstation series400/600 m.b. which is socketed for Xeon CPU. I have a rev.2 m.b. in my gaming pc. and that psu atx connector is proprietary(HP's middle finger to right to repair) if I'm not mistaken...check the wire to pin side of the connector compared to a 'standard' one just in case. you might blow the m.b. if connected with the wrong atx or it just wont power up. if you have 1, try a Xeon w3550 CPU for socket type comparison, just for curiosity. oh and don't forget bios update!
I pulled the CPU cooler in the video linked in the card, also on my channel. It's definitely a Socket AM3+ board. The power supply in this one is not proprietary as all the wire colors match that of a Bestec 24-pin unit I have laying around. I have seen many years ago in a 2000 Compaq Deskpro EN system where the 24-pin ATX connector was wired proprietary to smoke the motherboard if a standard unit is installed. HP can have the motherboards ordered to their spec, so that's why they may look very similar.

I have one of the e-machine Compaq clones with a stock 700w psu(way overkill) and a Pentium 4 cpu. It has potential but super limited RAM capacity being stuck 2gb max... I guess that was a lot back then. I did get it boot into windows 10 though....but only ran for about 20 minutes before overheating.😁
Put Windows 10 and upgrade it to an SSD should be plenty fast still today for basic stuff and some lightweight gaming if it has a GPU, you also could put Windows 11 with some workarounds to bypass the requirements but Windows 10 would be slightly more snappy.
Funy i have the same case hp Pavillion but mine has a i7 4770 with a gtx 1060 6gb smal factor from evga. These guys are very resistant mine works fine since 2013. Only stoped using it couse i gone ryzen a ful new build.

There's probably a good chance this motherboard's BIOS won't support booting off of an NVMe SSD in a riser card
