I agree. I have done these readings myself in the past, and watched a lot of them. It gets to be too much, like junk food. A lot of these readers give sugar coated readings that have no substance. Blah!! Way too much woo woo out there. There are only about 2 or 3 that are the real deal, out of all the hundreds out there. Even so, it is not very fulfilling to watch, or not as fulfilling as a personal reading. Also people can get addicted to watching them, which is not very healthy for our mental health. It all ends up to be confusing to the watcher.
This is true! I read tarot cards and sometimes I watch the video and the message is completely different than what the cards say- for example someone pulled out the 7 of swords and the devil card- and said “ this person has great passion for you” 😳😳 after that I started questioning the messages. Also sometimes the readers avoid bad readings by not doing reversals or not choosing “bad cards” or redoing the readings because it’s a “ bad reading” or sometimes these cards are selectively chosen and not really random at all. So you’re not really getting the clear message. I mean some readers are honest and authentic- but some straight up aren’t. That’s why it’s important to use tarot as guidance ( they are barely any career or money readings). I don’t care if people read cards- just be honest, because people genuinely come for real advice- but in the end they set their own karma. You can’t use divination tool for your own personal gain and you can’t manipulate spirit messages because you want to profit. Also the whole suffering to receive love- or the whole karmic twin flame scenarios// or glorifying ex’s coming back? Why is an ex always returning lol! This is why I stopped watching general readings- and only pay tarot readers who I feel will say the truth.
I once came across this girl doing a livestream in a fb group doing 1 card 1 second readings... some girl asked her "is my husband cheating on me?" and she pulls out the 3 of spades and shes like "Oh no, not at all! Everything is fine, don´t worry you'll have a perfect ending for the rest of your life!" ....... Long story short, I ended being kicked from the group for trying to share academic sources. Silly me, I should have known I was inside of a cult/delusional group.
I completely agree with you. I also don’t like that so called readings are more like a crash course on card meanings. Most UA-cam readers use the same few typical keywords. The three of swords is Alwayssss a love triangle 😬. Oh really? Lol Even a lot of the tarot cards creators have gone nuts with illustration.

I agree with everything in this video - trash, diarrhoea indeed! I would argue that the popularity of tarot in the last 10 years is a good thing - it makes tarot reading more acceptable in society and popular culture. But it has gone overboard here on UA-cam.
There’s a belief that someone will come across with a reading they need to hear on UA-cam cos the Universe made it happen. I had done some zodiac and pick videos but then I realised that my videos resonated with people because of the UA-cam algorithm, not the Universe. I refuse to play the game, use the cliches and cheesy stuff to grow on the UA-cam. Unfortunately it’s only by those means viewers get interested in tarot videos.
Before listening, I will tell up front that those pick a card are made mainly by New Agers who never have a bad new to tell us. It's always good news! lol

Personally I do care for your Tarot videos on this channel. I never ever cared about pick a card videos because to me, they are trash (and I don't want to watch your pick a card readings either). Your videos here were one of the most interesting on UA-cam for me because I really like the Tarot content. This and reading your book was super interesting and very helpful to the right moment, especially because of your no-nonsense attitude. 99% of those pick a card readers only care about making money on UA-cam. I watched a youtuber who went from talking about LOA to doing pick a cards just for views. I agree with you, tarot is losing its mystery.
I used to be obsessed with those readings when I had a crush-they were like junk food, always knew the right things to say and be relatable and give you hope. None of them were accurate at all! I've been learning to read tarot now for myself, friends, and some strangers and I can honestly feel the difference. I know my readings are 100x more accurate than those pick a card readings. How can you accurately read for hundreds of thousands of viewers? You can't. It becomes depersonalized and loses all meaning. The real thing is much better, and the tarot reader will give it to you straight and find deeper meanings than what you can find on youtube.
i appreciate your opinion. you are right. but if there are people who gravitate to these readings, i am sure Universe/Spirit has a message to share..
