What I really like about your videos, not only great gameplay from you, but the fact that you leave in when you lose a stock or get hit hard, I can see the mistake too or the disadvantage in the matchup, it's very useful, thanks Gavin, keep up the great content
Really depends on your definition of viable, we’ve seen some character specialists perform notably at top level with pretty niche characters like puff and luigi, characters I would definitely put sephiroth above, so at the least I don’t think seph is a waste of time and effort.
@@fupalover Not viable and not tested are two very different things. Tweek's bad results with Sephiroth as a "down 0-2 Hail Mary" in past sets are not going to be representative of what he can do soon as he unlocks his own potential.
I struggle as a Sephiroth to beat falcon I learned so much by watching this. Just as a thing I do that I don't see others do have you tried setting a shoulder to special and using the c-stick to b-reverse your side b? It adds a lot of movement options to your kit as Sephiroth. Like holding right you jump input side b using the shoulder and then flick the c-stick left while holding right and it reverse your movement and always shoots right.
Yep, I don’t think seph will take tweek to new heights as far as in a tourney setting. Diddy is just way more consistent, plus isn’t as light as a feather.
5:34 frame is so stupid... Falcon should be hit by the sword but the fact that he is not and still wins the trade tells you how stupid Falcon's down air hitbox is.
The fact that down air and Falcon Kick at the ledge consistently beat Octaslash is really awful. I understand every character needs something, but that’s actually just dumb. Sometimes the spacing isn’t even there. Down air just wins.
More liable to happen if you angle the octaslash away from the stage but yeah well timed disjointed spikes at the the end up of his up-b range can feel like bullshit haha
I already spent 10 minutes on the video and reached past the 25 seconds mark. Always takes me way more than the normal length of the video to actually get to the end of it
He said in the podcast that he is focusing on Sephiroth at the moment because he never really gave him a chance offline and he was focusing too much on Diddy back then. Every time he switched to Sephiroth he was rusty so he wants to focus on him and is trying to win a Major with him. He is not dropping Diddy but training with Sephiroth is his priority ATM.
True to Sephiroth fashion, there are very obvious and exploitable weaknesses in his playstyle. If you are brave enough to challenge them. Very good video. Well done to both players.

I cannot wait to see you play this character offline..very excited!
Lots of respect for the falcon player as well
Love seeing the Tweek Seph back in action. Also, Mattheus is kinda on fire lately. Super clean from both players!
It’s currently hitting me that sephiroth is throwing hands with captain Falcon on hollow bastion in SMASH
Tweek's Sephiroth might just be the chosen one... the one spoken of in legend, destined to usurp Leo from his mantle in the clouds.
Keep dreaming. Sephiroth isn't viable at the highest level.
@@fupalover if Ned can take him to the heights he’s gone it’s for sure possible.

The problem is that we haven’t seen it at a top level. This all looks cool, but what will it be like at the top level?

So wholesome, I hope to see Tweek’s Sephiroth in tournament too! 🙏
@@foks0054 何が関係ないのですか?素晴らしいプレイをみてそれをトーナメントで見たいと考えることはごく普通のことに感じます
i think sephiroth's back air is so comfortable to execute

Sephiroth video = instalike idgaf
Why did the jab at 4:58 not jab lock?
This Sephiroth has just become something else, I don't know what but if it can slap falcon around like that, Hoo boy
I really feel as though Diddy is a stronger character. Like by fairly large margin.

Your octoslash usage is smart af

This captain falcon is pretty nasty🔥
Offline isn't ready for this Sephiroth 🔥🔥🔥
Tweek getting bodied is rare to see from any smash player
Makes him human
Heh. He was always human. Just well trained in the game.
