@@BerkeyCleanWater that is a big plus....no need for a sight spigot...only thing I question about the light model is that since it is transparent......light filters through and may create alge inside the chamber.....therefore it needs more maintenance than the Stainless ones.....
@@adrianotero7963 We've had a Berkey Light for a long, long time. Never had algae inside ever. Just don't sit it in the sun. Ours is on a countertop away from sunny window areas.
Quick questions: I was camping in eastern North Carolina and the tap water had a messy taste, even in the restaurants the water had a funny taste. It is probably due to a spoil and how the local filter the sand spoil. Would the Berkey remove that bad taste?
Hi, it depends on what is causing the bad taste but I will tell you that no matter where we've taken our Berkey it eliminates the worst of tastes from tap or well water.
@@BerkeyCleanWater Hello, thank you. I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly. And I meant nasty tasting water. All the UA-camrs (for RV'ng) say get a Berkey. I have to get one now. Thanks Again!
i bought the berkey light... opened it up and washed it out, primed the filters and tried to use it , the the water tastes terrible... like there is oil or cleaning solution in it... i rewashed it and re primed the filters... still tastes terrible... so its in a white plastic bag in the basement very disappointed ... just went back to the frig filter.... did I do something wrong?
I'm very sorry for your experience. I've never heard of a Berkey Light doing anything like that. They are BPA & BPS free. No chemicals leached. There are warranty's on all Berkey systems. Please contact the Authorized Berkey dealer you purchased from and give them this same info.
@@TaniaAmthor no... i have tried to get ahold of berkey... no luck and no one has called back... as i purch from berkey online...... and as an older person with 1 income... that was alot of money to spend for something i cant use
I don’t know how it’s supposed to provide water for 6-8 people to be honest. I find it very disappointing. It only has 1.75 L of water available at any given time, and takes hours to produce more. And yeah, I follow the advice of keeping the filters constantly submerged so it’s not that.
I've had a Berkey light for 15 years now still going strong love my Berkey Light.
Needed more these days than we all may realize.
They both sound wonderful! I think I prefer the Big Berkey.
I like both systems, but I would choose the Berkey Light.
It is nice to see the water level at all times!

Thank you for giving a very informative and helpful video. Helps to decide which one is best for what you need! LOVE Berkey
I’ve wanted a Berkey for so long!
I have the Sport and Berkey's the one I'd recommend to anyone! Great system! Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely Randy. 👍👍🙏🏻😇👊
Thanks Randy!
A great option, especially for traveling!
I bought the Berkey Light. I like the fact that you can see the water level. I use it without the base so it is not so high.
Berkey Light is great for a small family. The Berkey water filters are the same for both the Big Berkey & the Berkey Light.
The Berkey Light looks like a great option.
I believe it's useful for these days, not only when traveling
Absolutely love my Berkey!!!
I adore my big Berkey. It's the best.
I think I prefer the Big Berkey, but I have trouble deciding when all the options are good.
Tough choice for sure!
Ive got the BIG on our counter!! :D
Luv our Berkey! We have a “drinking problem” so got a big one-3.5gal-Royal!
Thanks for the videos!
I have the light,love it.
We love ours too!
thank you - very informative!
I have the Travel Berkley but the Berkley light has it's advantages too.
I'd love to have one of these. Right now I have to take 5 gal water jugs to have clean water. I never drink or use tap water.
thanks for the info
I don't like how tall the Berkey light is, looks like it takes up alot more space on the counter top
Can't wait to try!
Love this!
New to this product.
Great opportunity!

Do they filter the same amount? Are they used for the same amount of people?
The Berkey Light holds 2.75 gallons of water and the Big Berkey holds 2.25 gallons of water.
@@BerkeyCleanWater thank you.
Great video
this is great, Love Berkey!
It is a hard decision. I like both.
Perfect!!
👍💨
🤷♀️I am saving to buy one
How tall are they when assembled?
The Berkey Light is 26.5” and the Big Berkey is 19.25".
The filters are at the top on the Light Brekey and on the bottom on the Big Berkey?
On all systems the black elements sit in the top chamber.
Looks good.

At what point in this video does it say either the Berkey Light or the Big Berkey is recommended for 6-8 people?
@@BerkeyCleanWater it says it on the website
This video got me thinking to get a Berkey Light too for travel
The link in the description is broken
Which link isn't working for you? I just tried all the links and they work for me.
Epic Nano water filter or the Berkey?
Berkey!
Cool!
I know it's safe plastic but I still prefer the Big Berkey because I don't want plastic in my life.
Why does my Berkey leek?
Cool
Love this!
