  • I could not believe #JapaneseTechnology in the area of Japan's #WasteManagement. This unique opportunity to visit the Shinagawa Incineration Plant was something I was really looking forward to because I always wondered what happens to garbage after it leaves our homes, and if there was one country that I'm sure had an efficient system in place for dealing with garbage, I knew it had to be #Japan! Join us on this interesting tour of discovery, energy, and garbage!

Welcome to my daily vlogs! TRAVEL. FOOD. COMEDY. SINGING. ANTS. LIFE.
I upload a new video every day at 7AM EST!
    About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first UA-cam channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

I am very impressed that when the Ministry invited you to Japan, they don't just bring you to those usual sightseeing places but also brought you to their waste management facility. This is truly a country that is environmentally responsible and know that urban living and huge cities with dense population really need to tackle with waste management! Their plan on showcasing Japan to your viewers are quite unique and well thought out! I am looking forward to seeing more as you explore Japan.

Right?! Like I said before we embarked on this epic journey, being taken around by the government of a country is truly a different thing. We saw this as well when we were invited by the governments of Sabah, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Guam, and Palau to vlog... Japan is a mind-blowing country on its own, but the guys who run it know all the coolest places! 😍 Thank you for joining us today! Means a lot to us!

My late husband was a journalist and you remind me of him. You explained things accurately like you are a reporter. I am absolutely amazed, is it because you are intelligent enough that you pick up the articles quickly and you are wide reader, or is it because you grew up in Canada and learnt how reporter/journalists explained or report their articles. I think you are most suited to be a reporter. Good job mate.

I’m a senior (over 65) and live in Millbury Massachusetts and we have an incinerator in our town. We get a lot of refuse from Boston. A number of years ago we were given a tour of the incinerator. It was a memorable tour and we were amazed at how little waste there was. The bonus our little town gets from the insinerator is we get a set amount of free tonage. Which means they take our waste and we don’t pay to dispose of it. Great deal. Love your channel.

Which, is kinda kewl, because you could help educate Canaduans, Americans, the Philippines and virtually anywhere your popularity reaches. If this way of burning trash is beneficial for all countries, then it's an important message to share. Who knows, maybe Mikey, and RJ will become an elected officials who can help make positive changes for our environments? ❤🍎

Living in the USA, land seems so endless, that the people unfortunately just dump everything into a landfill. Like you said relying on fossil fuels. 😢
Mikey, you could speak for your city after experiencing this grand tour and gaining all of this knowledge. Perhaps you can be the force behind Philippians obtaining their own burning facilities. You have your city’s popularity in your hands.

In Vienna, Austria they are burning residual waste for heating and cooling (!) homes, office buildings, hospitals and so on. And after burning the waste they extract metals from the cinder for recycling. I know of at least one plant in Germany where they even use the exhaust (contains SO2) to produce high quality gypsum.

They have an incinerator in Detroit Michigan (USA) that was just recently shut down. From what I’ve heard it did not filter the toxins out adequately, we also have a higher rate of asthma in children and people who live and grow up here more so than anywhere else in the state. A lot of people in the community think the incinerator was harmful to public health so good thing it was shut down.

Fascinating! I love the renewable heating energy they are creating. Burning fossil fuels is so detrimental to the earth as there is a limited supply (and it surely contributes to war ,and accompanying greed). We had a garbage museum here but due to lack of funding and public non interest ,sadly it closed. Did you turn off the lights for the 8:30p.m. hour the other day? You probably figured out that I did ☺. Doing our best for our (mother) Earth is crucial to our survival, as a species (and all other animal /plant species). Future generations depend on us to get the ball rolling in the right direction. This vlog was eye opening and very interesting! Thanks for sharing with us!
