In early 2024 lobal decision-makers convened at the #munichsecurityconference and the #raisinadialogue in Delhi, engaging in deliberations concerning our #multipolarworld world order. The discourse oscillated between bolstering the existing multilateral system and envisaging emerging, potentially antagonistic, competing orders.
In Munich, a prevalent narrative advocated for fortifying and enhancing the current multilateral framework, with gradual reforms aimed at amplifying the voices of nations across #Asia, Latin America, and #Africa. Conversely, in New Delhi, an opposing narrative underscored the pivotal role of Asia and Africa in shaping the future, drawing legitimacy from shared colonial legacies and emphasising the formation of alliances spanning these regions and beyond.
Europe, situated amidst these divergent discourses, finds itself urged to strategically cultivate alliances across continents and income brackets, drawing lessons from historical precedents. Moreover, it is encouraged to invest in a multilateral system adept at accommodating the complexities of a multipolar global landscape.
