    I bought some of the timothy/alfalfa horse hay pellets to soak and mash into my hatchlings food to introduce to him grasses and hay.

    We have tons of crab grass in our yard. Can I feed it to my sulcata?

    • @ReadyReptiles
      @ReadyReptiles  2 роки тому

      Crab grass should be perfectly fine as long as it hasn’t been sprayed with fertilizer or pesticides!

    Hello thanks for all the info. How about a mix of orchard and timothy? Or should it only be one? I got a bag that has a mix of both I can still return and just get one if needed

    • @ReadyReptiles
      @ReadyReptiles  Рік тому

      Preferably orchard alone is the best for them! Orchard and Timothy mix is the next best thing! Whenever I can’t find orchard alone I buy TO mixed! So no worries on that! And in the case where orchard isn’t around and Timothy is all that’s left , that’s what I go for !

    Is orchard grass and alfalfa hay okay to feed to a baby sulcata? I just got a month old hatchling and want to make sure I'm feeding the right stuff. Maybe just cut it up small?

    • @ReadyReptiles
      @ReadyReptiles  3 роки тому +2

      Orchard grass is much more beneficial than Alfalfa hay! I’d recommend alfalfa as a last resort incase you can’t find Timothy , or orchard . My list would be Orchard #1 ( highest in fiber , calcium , and lowest in protein ) then Timothy and alfalfa last.

    im thinking of getting one cause i have a big field and i was wondering if they dig at all aka dig out of the enclosure

    • @robertomilanes9865
      @robertomilanes9865 2 роки тому

      Yes, they do dig burrows which can extend up to 30 feet. That shouldn’t be a problem because they regularly dig in their natural habitat.
