Feel free to boil wash Monster High all you want. I’ve curled and straightened and done the fabric softener, works wonders. Never had a face paint problem when cleaning just dolls I bought who chipped already.

Tip: when brushing the dolls hair (especially monster high) lay them down I broke my skelitas head off from not doing that :(

You can boil wash the ghouls! Just be cautious if they are actively leaking it won’t fix glue x)

Fun little tip for your monster high dolls , when your first get them add babypowder on the hair then press it in x
the longer you leave the powder in the hair it soaks all the gunk in, so i would say leave it for multiple hours and then fully wash it out
Use Good Gone for the dolls, it’s a cleaner used to get grime and very very tough stains in sinks showers and basically anything involving liquid seepage problems so it works wonders on the dolls, just keep in mind u might have to wash their hair a few times to get the smell out cuz it does leave quite an odor, and also use dish soap to wash it out not shampoo
Quickest way to remove hair glue from dolls is White Spirit. You just need to dip doll hair for 3-5 seconds in it and then wash WS off with shampoo and soak doll hair in conditioner (for washing clothes) for hour or two, to remove the WS smell.
Just remember to work in open area with good air circulation because WS is pretty toxic. I also advise wearing face mask while working.
Hi, I have tried almost everything suggested in vids to remove the dreadful stickiness in my dolls hair - but to no avail. I have yet to try WS though? Do you use it neat and does the smell disappear completely after conditioning? I would appreciate your advice. Thank you so much.
@@redmarilynn after you soak doll hair in VS (remember, no longer than 5-10 seconds, just soak it, rub a little and then rinse), wash it with shampoo, then rinse shampoo and put doll head in conditioner (you can add a little water if it’s too thick). I recommend leaving it for hour. Then i check how it smells. Usually smell almost disappears. Next step it to leave it dry in a room with good air circulation. I use my balcony.
After that I personally don’t smell any hints of VS.
Also side note: if your doll have golden plastic strings in her hair they might get damaged a little. But my 13 wished doll still looks ok after VS.
And remember to work in gloves!

Great video, I have found with the polish that it does need more than one treatment when the glue is really bad, monster high and ever after high are notorious for having a lot of glue in their head - you did a great job they all look fabulous!! 💕💕

Be careful with hot water in Monter high's, because it melt the glue into ther hair and it can make the sticky problema go worse and worse. Try to do the same but with cold water, maybe you can get better results. Please, let me know if it works for you. i use to apply the powders system and if them remain in the hair after wasing the hair, I use some alcohol to eliminate the remaining powders. Next time you encounter a doll with glue seepage, use Goo Gone! Spray it in the hair til the hair is soaked in it and let it sit for 2 hours then wash/rinse with cold water and washing up liquid that is made to cut through grease because warm/hot water will cause the glue seepage again. You may need to do this a couple times though cause I did it on some of my mh dolls and found they need a retreatment but i've been too lazy to do it lol It did work on some of them the first time so that's a plus.
I don't boil wash dolls' hair. I know everybody is doing it but I don't. I am scared of damaging the hair.
I use talcum powder for the glue issue. Sometimes I can't be bothered removing it immediately and I left some of my dolls with talcum poder for months before removing it! It works for me and seem to last. Not all Monster |High dolls have glue in their heads. There are many that are glue free. For exemple the early budget dolls made in China like Dead Tired have great hair and no glue in their heads. Schools out made in China are glue free as well. It is good to know.
OH WOW!! they look so sleek and gorgeous!! The whole glue issue seems so painful😅😅as if cleaning dolls wasn’t already a bit hard. Now you’ve got glue in the mix 🤣🤣🤣
Az try Goo Gone. My Clawdeen's hair was crazy sticky and I tried this since many other recommended it and she's so perfect now ☺️ Highly recommend ❤️
did you pour the oil on her hair or how did you do it? I just recently found my MH doll collection and I wanna restore them but my first wave Nefera's hair is super sticky!
@@sostl154 i pour it in their hair, scrub it and leave it in for a good 5-7 mins. then wash. you're gonna have to wash it out a couple times since it does leave an odor. but nothing dish soap or liquid detergent won't take out.

I was curious about the glue issue and I googled it, and some have success with oil mixed tea tree oil or just tea tree oil. I don't know if someone is willing to test it or know more about it. There is a product I use for glue, it's named tack attack thats eco friendly. I use it for removing glue from plastic.

I use my straightener on the lowest setting and go over the hair a couple times. It does work for getting rid of gluey or greasy hair.
did you slide the straightener down really fast to avoid it burning off the hair? or how I need to do some of mine ty 💕
How I get rid of glue seepage, is I use 2 tbsp of coconut oil and 2 tbsp of baking soda your gonna want to rub it all in the hair (especially near the scalp) then leave it for 20-30 minutes and then wash it out washing it out will take little bit I’ve found that 5-6 washes work on my dolls but whenever it’s out it’s out. I’ve been successful every time I’ve done this trick and it doesn’t damage any hair.

MissRhixox bc there head is made of less quality plastic and that means the glue will seep out easer and faster :)

I’ve noticed that the monster high doll line has the worst problem when it comes to glue seepage. It’s also extremely difficult to remove the glue from the dolls’ hair. I do love monster high, but I’m just not a fan of the G3 reboot. Freaky Fusion is my favorite monster high movie and doll series.

Soo much work to take the glue out, dude just use Goo Gone, soak the hair in for 20 min and wash it after with dish soap and the shampoo and condition it. I have over 400 dolls and that always worked the 1st time and never ruined the doll. Fast and easy.
Came here to say this. Goo Gone was the only thing to work on my Scarah. The only drawback is it leaves a chemical smell which can be hard to get rid off.
Book Woman the smell is sort of like lemon, dish soap smell, but after a while it fades. I prefer the smell ove the glue haha

Amazing video as always!! this is my problem for realy long time and i have practical tips how i removed sticky glue off hair: only WD-40 Degreaser and... Nivea makeup expert in-shower makeup remover worked, coz oils removes oils. only warning wd40 CAN damage the dolls make up so its risky. nivea makeup creamy milk makeup remover is 100% safe and clears stickiness very effectivly after rubbing remover cream into roots. then i use simple hand soap to wash it off and fabric conditioner to soften the hair. stopped to use human hair conditioner coz it makes grease worse. then to prolong effect can use baby powder or talc on dry hair, baby powder smells better but have to be very careful and do not breathe powder in, dangerous for lungs! but its just whats on the surface, problem still inside dolls head, without removing glue from inside is almost impossible to stop grease to appear. this glue oil is toxic and if doll becomes ultra greasy nonstop, better just remove everything and do complete reroot for everyone safety

Are you able to makeover dolls with tinsel in their hair? Or it is not possible? Just because I know Draculaura and Abby both have dolls with tinsel hair versions but neither of these did so I wasn't sure if that was on purpose or was just how it happened to be

The doll with the greasy hair and earrings in her ears, her hair was very greasy and gluey I did what you did with the oxy10 powder , I did it with cold water though, twice, it worked really well and I just put conditioner from the middle to the ends of the hair , I have one with purple hair and she was the same, I have learnt all I know from your videos, my first love is the Bratz, Thankyou for putting your videos on I look forwards to seeing them :)
