Installing LEDs in normal reflector type headlights may lead to inconvenience to the vehicles coming from opposite side as the beam is scattered in all directions....it points very sharply on the eyes..

Reflector setup of halogen head light is different from led headlight. So there will be dark spots if you instal LED

Excellent review of Osram LED H4 lighting. I had installed the same in my Fiat Punto. Provides excellent lighting under normal night driving conditions, but a big disappointment during Rainy and Foggy conditions.
Hence I went back to Halogen bulbs.

U shd have gone for 4300k temperature and lesser values in LEDs. Since it's the sweet spot for night driving as well as brightness.

Lumen and light spread is better in LEDs for sure, but if the colour temperature is on cooler side of the spectrum, then there is a high chance of light rays getting scattered off the simple reflector setup.

Using Osram 100/90w with relay from 2 years. Never fused and visibility also good for night drive.
Kindly project the beam on a wall and share a beam pattern of these LEDs.
There should be a clear cutoff line when the low beams are ON. If the cut offline is not discreet, then these LEDs shall dazzle oncoming road users even on low beams.
The perfect paid promotion. LED light makes uncomfortable for the drivers of cars coming from opposite direction. Even someone uses High beam from rear side. So , Don't use LED bulbs.

PS: I am saying this based on my experience. Had installed leds recently. But nothing was visible during a dense fog when i was driving a few days back.
You can install warm temperature/yellow high wattage leds, will be totally fine, yellow lights travel better through fog

LED may be the brightest of a lot but Halogen ll remain the all time king for visibility in all weather & ll kind of roads,
Don't go for LED & HID as its only a market gimmick, Halogen bulbs are best for visibility & it's cheapest too.

Personally I feel that yellow lights, that is halogen gives me better visibility. Blue LED makes it a little confusing to understand the colour of the objects in darkness.

Most of the LED bulbs installed in halogen light assemblies will not give a focused beam, but it will give a glare that is very annoying to the oncoming traffic which can be dangerous as well.
Been using Philips Xtremevision H4 halogen bulbs in my i10 for over 6 years now. Has focused beam that actually helps in night driving without blinding the oncoming traffic and is more than enough for night highway driving.
Even my Philips 100/90W halogen are working fine since past 4 years.
@@vikramadityabhadra7206 philips make very high quality bulbs. I had been using Xtremevision halogen bulb for my bike as well for 6 years. No issues at all.
What is the lifespan of your Philips xtremevision h4 halogen. Do you need to change frequently?

Everyone who has installed high intensity LED lamps must paste the Eye Lid Type taping on head lamps to avoid Challan and inconvenience to oncoming traffic.
Also Avoid High beam driving wherever not required.
