Here i am with grandparents in their late 80's who have dementia and Alzheimers. Meanwhile, this amazing woman is 91, sharp as a knife with pearly white teeth having full on detailed memories and laughs with Denzel.....She is blessed!
@J. A. Ghorbani, my heart goes out to you with your grandparents. Our family went through that as well. There are so many life lessons in there but it’s still a challenge and hard to watch family fade into dementia. He cried about once on a talk show. Talking about his mother and missed time. He's always trying to make her proud even though she's gone. I love when people take time to recognize others with a handshake or just any kind of genuinely caring greeting. It’s something that has stood out to me since reading a story years ago about when the Dalai Lama was staying in a hotel, he would stop and talk to everyone he saw…the hotel manager, other guests, housekeeping staff (who are unfortunately are so often ignored) and he genuinely showed an equal interest in each person’s day. Denzel reminds me of that same sweet kindness and he let’s people know that they’re not invisible, that they matter. Sometimes that’s everything to a person trying to get through their day. Actions are so powerful, and Denzel continues to teach kindness to those watching by simply a kind handshake. 🙏🏾💙
