My husband and I adopted a dog that had been in a puppy mill...no one noticed she was pregnant. .....she had 10 beautiful babies. .....we couldn't give up any of them...the eleven lived out wonderful lives of 15 plus years.....our last is pictured here.....he is 17 and still SMILING.
We have a farm so they all had full lives and all the space and LOVE and treats they could stand.
They were PURE muts.
Ranged from 10 pounds to 25 pounds ...same litter.
Silky fur to curly.
And SMILED MOST EVERY DAY.
WE WERE BLESSED.
BLESS THESE PEOPLE WITH WONDERFUL PUPS.

Rescue shelters will not give you the bite record on their dogs. Pitbulls have the highest death rate of humans. In 2020, pitbulls responsible for 72% of dog killings of humans in America. 55% involved killing a family member. In 2017, pitbulls killed 13,000 dogs, 5,000 cats and 20,000 horses and other farm animals.

When I was a kid our dog had nine puppies… And the thing that really shocked me was how much food mama dog ate. It takes so much energy… So many calories to raise that many babies with your own body producing milk. I can’t even imagine 16 puppies!
That's what I was thinking. It looks like they had to supplement.
Probably also had to supplement because mama dog doesn’t have enough nipples for that many puppies.
Yeah it’s a lot of factors age health fertility food calories an nutrition definitely plays a role.. the more consistent and nutritionally rich the food the higher the chance that they’ll be lots of babes
there was a female tiger an the same thing happened to her she was moved from a zoo that wasn’t really taking care of her right even tho her species was endangered so they transferred her to this new zoo where she was sooo happy an met a male tiger that she really got along amazing with..he loved her sooo much anyways short story short she gave him 7 Cubs..

Humans are some of the only animals that need assistance to give birth, I'm pretty sure the only other animals that need assistance are highly domesticated/deformed animals like bulldogs

Mogamad Greyson in large litters stillborn babies are normal, it’s sad but with animals they won’t necessarily miscarry the entire litter because one or a few genetic defect or whatever wrong with them. Often times even if the puppy is born alive mothers will choose to kick puppies out of the nest if there’s “something wrong” with that baby, you might not be able to tell but mom knows and gives the resources to the healthier babies. Nature is cruel but it thrives without human intervention for a reason, death is the balance to life. Everything has to have its equal otherwise you can’t appreciate the beauty of one or the other fully.

There was only 14 puppies and mom.
A family friend had a pittie with a liter of 14 or 15. It was insane. Only two of them weren't blue nose, which was what she'd been going for, coloration-wise. Those two cuties just weren't selling, so she asked my mom if we could "foster" one of them.
We told her 3 weeks later that we were adopting that little nugget. She was such a good girl. One of my best friends for 10 years. Always up for a snuggle. Couldn't pass on the chance to smother you with kisses. Was the BEST with children - I don't think I've seen a dog so patient in my life.... I miss her every day.

It only counts how they are educated. In Reality, pitties are very loving, snuggling, playing and running good boys and good girls, like little children. The people, who want them to fight and are bad to the dogs, they are the real monsters. But pitties are the love in doggyperson.

Tbh she only survived this even because of her new love and life without that she probably wouldn't of made it 2 and a half days isn't normal and anyone having that happen with there dog should get help immediately as they need help themselves luckily pits are resilient and they love hard and have a big will so yeah good on her and the family but I would hope someone else would realize next time if anybody has this happen would realize ok she needs help let me contact a vet manye they can help her not do all the work lol

If you watch to the end, they all got adopted, and the foster family adopted the mama and kept one of the puppies.

Im going through almost the same thing right now. Adopted a dog a day away from being put down..and 5 weeks later...8 pups. One that has a cleft pallett we are keeping the rest go to a no kill shelter to be placed.
I can honestly say..other than having my own kids this was the hardest thing I've ever done. Sad and happy..we saved 9 lives as well.
It happen to us too, we adopted a westie & 7 weeks later, we had 4 lil surprises !!

When I was fostering a pregnant stray dog, she would actually just hide from her puppies 🤣 She'd go underneath my bed and into the bathtub so they wouldn't find her and the puppies would go insane looking for mama. It was honestly adorable 😂

When I was a kid, my cousin's golden retriever had 12 puppies. They were living in a condo at the time, so the mother and puppies came to our house where we had a yard and 2 dogs. I was in 3rd grade at the time. I'd come home from school, run into the back yard and count the puppies and then go cruising around the neighbors' yards to find the 2 or 3 escapees each day. Didn't lose a single one, fortunately. Great memories.

You can so tell because when you first got her, her teats were starting to get bigger. We didn't know either when we got one of our cats off the street, but she had the same signs. Wow HOW can so MANY puppies fit into one dog?! Amazing! Edit: Aw I'm glad they kept one of the puppies for the mom's sake. Very good.

I don't completely understand if she had 16 or 18 puppies because first they say she had 16 puppies but 2 died but then later they say that they where able to save 16 lives. So that must mean she had actually 18 puppies?

I'm so glad that they kept one puppy to be raised with her Mama...I have seen female dogs sad after a delivery and all puppies are gone!!! Much respect to the fosters❤

After all, the foster families are all too familiar with the aftermath of poorly placed pets. Interviewing process, references, a certain amount of visits between prospect family and desired pet are just a few things that they do to ensure a good match. Some even go as far as making sure that open contact between adoptive family and foster home is agreed upon. I am certain every pup is living their best life right now. ❤️

We had a similar situation. My husband found a dog right after she had been shot by a farmer, she was about 10-11 months old and very skinny. We adopted her and after letting her bullet wounds heal went to get her fixed. They cut her open and realized she was pregnant. We told them to sew her back up, and 3 days later she had 2 pups. Beautiful, healthy puppies. We kept her son and found an amazing home for her daughter. 💕
This pretty girl's nickname should be "Jackpot!" All of her sweet little angels... each a beautiful prize! May the selfless Foster/Adoptive parents who rescued this lovely Mama & her babies be forever blessed.💕🙏💕

Remember they're tiny too when they first come out then they start growing like a sponge in water it's interesting to see something so tiny get so big

@@minodemesa992 when im able to live more self reliant, perhaps when i have a home ive built in the country away from all the noise and such and when im not having to go to work each weekday early in the morning. Where i live now, it's just not real suitable. I may need to get a fish tank for now. However my interest is in plants and motorcycles / bikes
