Actually, you can pass from calais to dover. It just happened to me a few days ago, all you need to do is get the positioning completely perfect.
But it's VERY hard to do so. I managed to do it today by chance.

Quick story: One time, I played as Greece in RoN, just like any other time, I built elec factories and increased infantry tech as I saw Italy go in Albania. He later then justified and attacked me.
Of course, I was prepared ever since he was in Albania.
He rushed my country with infantry then attack Athens, failed miserably with 247k casualties.
He made an excuse saying "that was just the first landing force" then spammed infantry again and with tanks.
He failed miserably again with 477k casualties.
After that, he left.
I then stayed neutral until Qing attacked Europe.
Since I was in the faction of the "European Federation" I was dragged into the war despite suffering no casualties.
After Qing finished the war with Europe, he helped Austria-Hungary regain his economy (Austria-Hungary was at war with Qing but negotiated being a puppet to Qing for living and regaining its economy). Both of them teamed up to attack me.
Quiz: What happened next?
A: They failed miserably
B: They failed miserably
C: They failed miserably but somehow managed to win.
It was C.
To explain what happened, Qing spammed about 32.4k Tanks at me with 1.421M troops and made the horrible mistake of splitting the infantry.
A-H (Austria-Hungary) spammed infantry (about 235K) and both of them failed to take out the defense on Athens.
They managed to get 90% of my land and then Qing made treaty first.
Then A-H.
They won with 2.2M casualties COMBINED. That may sound small, but wait until I tell you about my next story about how I made a UK player as Greece suffer 14.2M casualties.
Quick note: They never took my capital which had about 140k guarding. And yes, I did have "More Explosive Filler" research researched.
Something you should note about the "Greece vs UK" part was that I was less neutral. I took all cities required in the Balkns for Byzantium, then trie to take Turkey and Cyprus but my ally (Netherlands) beat me to it. Then, Netherlands went AI and got invaded by UK and lost his homeland. (Only his homeland). I joined a faction with Qing, and other countries like Kievan Rus, and Russia (who kept getting kicked for invading Pakistan, another member). Then, tensions rose high when I kept asking UK for Cyprus so I can form Byzantium (Forgot to note this but I invaded Turkey after it declared independence from the Netherlands) but he kept refusing.
Eventually, it became a war after about 4 years of arguing with UK.
He started off with troop and tank spam and took Turkey with a large amount of casualties (About 1.4M I think) then he spammed at Athens and suffered a lot of casualties (Like 4.5M) and it didn't help the fact that I had a destroyer who sank about 3.2M British troops going to Turkey from Egypt. He kept spamming troops and troops and it got so bad that he reached 12M casualties. He suffered more (I can't give an exact number) casualties in Istanbul and suffered SO much more that caused him to have 14.4M casualties.
I reclaimed some cities until he made battleships and destroyers which destroyed my troops.
My submarine (who was the max rank) managed to sink about 544K more British troops going from Malta to Crete.
That pretty much was it.

Myth: IF u train one unit to any specialization and merge whit non speliacided unit then split it will give both the splecialization
That doesnt work, but if a troop is in the middle of training to become specialized, and its like 90% done, you can merge more troops with it and it will keep the progress, which can help save money
Specialised units can't merge with non specialised units

I laughed when the myth about nuking the capital came up since I've played as the Russian empire before and my capital was nuked 6 times and my stability only dropped from 100% to 50% and it's even going up and I ended up winning the war since I had 20 nukes at my disposal while my enemy only had 7 nukes.

I once nuked israel so bad, a city got to 0 inhabitants
You can actually from France to UK and vice versa without going through water using that shortcut. Tho it needs practice since the connection is very small.
Myth: splitting bombers into individual groups does more damage than a singular group of bombers (ex: 100 groups of 1 bomber each is better than 1 group of 100 bombers)

last one is actually true, its VERY hard and probably luck based, but it is still possible at the closest point, wait until the line of the troop turns white. the white line means you dont go into water, but the orange line means you will go on water.

myth idea: the xp bonus on generals (as an example 28%xp bonus 2% attack) gives you more xp (by xp i mean the xp you need for something like china to unlock)
This is obviously a bust. There is no possible way, I have used generals with xp bonuses and my xp still goes up at the same speed.

Damn i started rise of nations in 2019, i was a sory rn fan. Got kicked from the discord server because i was underaged. Made content with Darktic. Did somes rests there and there. Now i might just take a break. Darktic is less active. Its sad how he needed to delete his channel due to the time it takes to upload content.

Busted by me in the past forming Nau after making nau faction, as the script cannot differentiate the two, so the faction is renamed workspace to avoid confusion
