Thank you Melyssa Ford for describing White Supremacy without calling it white supremacy. The media doesn’t decide to take an assault on a rising or ascended black male by accident. It is a concentrated effort
His career is for sure hurt over these accusations. Look at someone like Johnny Depp, who was a power house in hollywood, with multiple franchises under his belt. Look at what they did to him, and what he lost financially. False accusations aren't easy to bounce back from. Only thing that's helping Majors is it was caught super early, and dispelled somewhat. So he might not get too screwed from it, but he's gonna feel it for now.
I remember that episode vividly cause I was pissed at how they just assumed dude was guilty. They made jokes about his team doing damage control. Ironic that it's a woman who stood by the guy
I love her and the value she brings, just as prevalent today as she was years ago. It was listening to an interview of her years ago as a young lady that showed me you can have duality as a woman. Being intelligent and yet sexy, she also preached the importance of financial literacy. I've always valued what she brings to the table, much love to Mel
Thank you Mel! Love your perspective on this. There are too many male victims of this “me too” movement (celebrity and non celebrity) and it really has to stop. Just like we need white allies to ward off the “Karen’s” we encounter our Black men need us to not buy every negative story they try to run with. We need to vocalize our support. I hope they put that woman under the jail for lying if that is the case. Someone needs to be made an example of.
We clearly didn’t learn anything from Johnny Depp’s case. As a society, we say we want men to be vulnerable yet, when a man is abused, it’s a non factor..make it make sense
Glad Melyssa said this. She is right on the money with this. We need what she said to always apply. I've been saying this for years whenever we hear stories like this with Black Men in Sports and Entertainment. Wait and see how it will play out legally before they are punished. It's normally the opposite. They are normally punished first then we hear they didn't do anything wrong. It's fucked up.
Everyone in the media needs to give him a public apology and help restore his reputation. Cowards made money on Jonathan downfall but they aint trying to bring him back up😢
M4 was the only person in that room to have always kept the innocent until proven guilty stance since the initial reports. The guys, especially Joe keep saying they didn’t kill JM but that episode when they first talked about this was disgusting to say the least.
Joe is a hater. He hates Black women; he's a serial cheater and gaslighter. He hates Black men: he's jealous of any one that has attained the status he thinks he is owed. Annoying. I don't care how many episodes he uploads, I still see him looking crazy on LHH.
What's so interesting is they had a chance to ruin him when Lovecraft Country was popping and right there they could of dropped all this. What happened is he said no to a gatekeeper so now they wanna ruin him
Men can say it, there is nothing wrong with saying let's wait for this to play out. You cannot continue to give in to the masses or they will continue to bully people. You have to stand up and say, everyone has a right to justice under the law and not mob justice
I'm not going to say it was because they were men, they crucified that man and Melyssa was the only one standing by him. The whole situation seemed unreal. The story, the media, and his PR team dropping him... it was weird. Melyssa should have cursed them out and drug these guys through the mud. I can't believe these black men believe he was in the wrong.
A man saying "what did she do for him to slap her" is totally different from him saying " let us wait for the entire truth before crucifying JM" or any man in this situation. Melissa is a smart woman. and 100% on point.
I'm not sure if he is guilty or not but, I do agree with her about one thing. I think if you saw Creed then it would be easier to believe the narrative. He was so menacing in that movie. He was big, muscular and not a good guy. He played that so well. So people can have a hard time separating the character from the real guy. I hope that he can get past this. I think he is a great actor.
Btw this is how “black” men are persecuted And perceived in society makes what happens to them by cops ok because they too have a “hard time separating the character from the real guy”. (Because they are black)
I'm tired of them saying we can't we can't yes you can be men that you say you are and stand up for what you think is right. People would actually respect you more you probably have more viewership if you stood on the principles of calling things out for what they are
It was on this day when Melyssa Ford spoke that the understanding of how powerful this platform has become was acknowledged. I had her calendar in my college dorm room , salute to Melyssa Ford beautiful with brains 🫡🫡🫡
"As men, we can't say that." The hell we can't. There is always time for critical thinking. There's nothing wrong with saying "let's wait", "something isn't right", or "i don't have enough info to make an informed decision".
Oh Joey, the way you walk into situations like your Einstein, but end up looking like very Jersey stereotype in every move you've ever seen is the chef's kiss of my UA-cam viewership. You are appreciated.
Maaaan when u need more people like this .. Imagine being truthful but always being coined a bad person after being taken advantage of like this brotha, what sounds like an escape goat... Sometimes people are just shitty and lie others may be embarrassed but then there are those who just like messy shit rather than finding out the truth or giving benefit of doubt
This is what's funny about the little Ish hive, when dude be completely wrong and is proven wrong he will sit there and literally say nothing but when he's giving a million examples on some simple shit, you folks start acting like you've never heard someone speak common sense before. Melissa Ford on this topic and the Russell Simmons topic was on point.
I have more respect for Melyssa Ford now than I did before. Shout out to a Black Woman supporting Black Men, doing her homework and publicly speaking on it. We need more of this. Indeed the case will out and Jonathan will either be found guilt or innocent based on the evidence played in the court of law. I've never seen an article like that written by a major publication about any White Man in Hollywood who have done worse and even written before the case has gone to court. Where's the article they wrote for Trump and other White Men in Hollywood?
When you read through that article it paints a damning picture but then when you take a step back you realize that they say basically nothing. They just talk about second hand gossip. There is no new first hand accusation of any criminal actions in that article but they take the gossip of someone who knew someone that knew someone he dated back in the day and say that person said he either physically or mentally abused an ex. Sounds bad till you step out and think why did they tie the physical and mental abuse together like that? Could it be because he possibly didn't touch anyone but by saying either physical or mental abuse you cover you ass so when someone comes back to question it you can say well I said either or and mental abuse could be as broad as not answering the phone after cutting off a girls access to your credit card you gave her? They tie a potentially heinous accusation of physical abuse with a vague and broad accusation that could mean anything while knowing the audience reading that is going go with the worst possibility. Then they say more women have come forward and are cooperating with the authorities....which makes it sound like more women stepped forward with accusations of criminal abuse but it also accurately describes people being called in or subpoenaed to give character background about their past experience in a relationship with a defendant. So they could be called in and say we had a relationship he was never violent but the article can still say more women have come forward to cooperate with the authorities.... After reading the article I realized I really still know nothing more than before I read the article but it sure makes him sound guilty of something. Won't know until the trial but the lawyers working against Majors must have a lot of media connections and have a lot of experience at doing this.
"Our bad?!" That's the extent of the remorse? "It's always your own people!" What a pathetic group of men, grow a backbone, and be accused of being logically inclined. How do you capitulate just so you avoid being on the wrong side of a group of people as opposed to facts/the truth?! The absurdity
If anyone should understand how Jonathan Majors may feel right now it would be Joe Budden. Especially with all the many accusations he has been hit with throughout his career.
I remember the last interview, the guys weren't listening to her, it's crazy that it took the media switching sides for them to also switch sides... Guys, think for yourselves
That's why I do love women like Melissa. She stood in a room of Major's peers, in a climate of "women's rights" and said let it play out. The guys that look like me didn't even give him a remote shot. But they wanna claim this and that about dudes here, dudes there in the industry. They have a platform and chose to go the other way....but I also understand why....IF the show isn't fully owned by Joe and them. I commend them for admitting their error, and I understand they could only say so much and why. The machine is real.....
The woman is looking out for these fools and they don't even know it. Black women do a great job at protecting black men, even when black men have no clue this is happening.
that's the problem with people , they jump to conclusions based on what people say and not knowing the truth, if that man had died based on a lie , you think"my bad" would be acceptable
The men on the show in an instance like this CAN say let’s see how it plays out, while also looking at the details and giving their thoughts but just rounding back to the point we don’t know for certain we’ll have to see as more things come out. That way you aren’t being blindly supportive of a woman, you’re still giving an opinion but not slandering someone because you’re reminding yourself cohosts and the audience that we don’t have all the details and we don’t know yet.
Bruh. The woman that wrote the article is Cheyenne Roundtree and she is KNOWN for lying in her articles. She used to write for the Daily Mail. EVERY big stories for her had *anonymous sources*

Exactly 🎯🎯🎯
Lol they using Mel to speak for them. After their Tory Lanez stance they wanna tread water
I'm proud of Mel for speaking her mind 🎉👏🏾 also you guy's are great at supporting her
I fool with the podcast, however they not supporting this guy. I can’t wait until JM bounces back from this.
No she wasn't. When he was spotted with Meagan good she was already on the other side
What happened is he said no to a gatekeeper so now they wanna ruin him
Y’all coulda said ima wait to see tf are y’all talking about. Y’all the reason y’all didn’t say that
LMAOOO Ish quiet as a church mouse and Joe backpedaling like his initial take ain't on a video on UA-cam!
Joe be tap dancing lmaooo ... he definitely said he was done
Success is not always significant of intelligence, and these men prove it. Shout out to the Lady for bein the adult in the room.
Shout out to Melissa for being on code. Don’t expect much from ice, since he’s non FBA, but joe and ish disappointed me, especially joe
Melissa isnt “FBA” 🤡
Men can say it, there is nothing wrong with saying let's wait for this to play out. You cannot continue to give in to the masses or they will continue to bully people. You have to stand up and say, everyone has a right to justice under the law and not mob justice
None of these “men” had a backbone nor the intelligence to actually critically think about this entire case.
As a black woman I didn't "End" Jonathan Major. I was standing by him when this drop and I will still be standing by him when he's clear of this mess.
I only watched 3 minutes and I could distinguish the gap in general education between Canada vs USA,
LOL
I doubt those men on the show did anything after high school
Nah Ish was nad quiet, soeak up my boy. You had plenty to say about John Majors 😂
Joe never gonna admit when he wrong lol
NEVER!! HE GETS ON MY NERVES WITH THAT $HIT
It’s always nice when you hear someone on these podcast that can speak from a place where they need knowledge to draw conclusions 👏🏾
Joe killed him first episode they talked about the situation then acts as if he didn’t? People hate to admit they were wrong smh
“When I go up there, I’m going to let those f***** have it!” 😅😂
I'm not going to say it was because they were men, they crucified that man and Melyssa was the only one standing by him.
@@keymusabe7207facts. I'll be satisfied with your comment because I almost did a read.
I'm tired of them saying we can't we can't yes you can be men that you say you are and stand up for what you think is right. People would actually respect you more you probably have more viewership if you stood on the principles of calling things out for what they are
Shout to Mel. Glad to see she was using her platform to say that men shouldn't be guilty until proven innocent.
That Honda Acord line never leaves my head tho 😂
The one that The Game said on “wouldn’t get far”, lol
melyssa thank you ....our people will turn on us so quick especially when its man vs woman like where was the proof for yall to ruin his career.
She’s an intellectual love her commentary
Glad to see & hear Meyssa Ford! I agree with her POV .
I actually agree I still ain’t see no proof and they jumped on that brotha quick as hell smh devils and Hollywood I swear obviously
"Our bad?!" That's the extent of the remorse?
"It's always your own people!"
What a pathetic group of men, grow a backbone, and be accused of being logically inclined. How do you capitulate just so you avoid being on the wrong side of a group of people as opposed to facts/the truth?! The absurdity
Exactly.
If anyone should understand how Jonathan Majors may feel right now it would be Joe Budden. Especially with all the many accusations he has been hit with throughout his career.
Yeah you would think but instead he was talking shit and joking about the situation. I thought that was odd
Cause those accusations against joe were true and he see that the accusations against JM may not be so he’s hating
@@janeli4616You might be on to something 🤔
Because joe actually did that shit so he is projecting, just like how all cheaters think ppl are cheating.
Good he’s a sick actor hope this works out for him and he gets back to work
I remember the last interview, the guys weren't listening to her, it's crazy that it took the media switching sides for them to also switch sides... Guys, think for yourselves
Class was in session and she took all of them to school!!!!!
Well played Ms. Ford
Thank you Melyssa! They was scared and u didn’t have to make excuses for them. Smh
The woman is looking out for these fools and they don't even know it. Black women do a great job at protecting black men, even when black men have no clue this is happening.
W Melyssa Ford. Joe you were wrong about Majors...
Glad Mel is on the show
Joe's pride got in the way of some great poddin
that's the problem with people , they jump to conclusions based on what people say and not knowing the truth, if that man had died based on a lie , you think"my bad" would be acceptable
Shit like this just proves more and more that we are living in such a radically different world then we did 10-20 years ago.
Melyssa Ford I applaud you on your ability to make you point clearly.
Bruh. The woman that wrote the article is Cheyenne Roundtree and she is KNOWN for lying in her articles. She used to write for the Daily Mail. EVERY big stories for her had *anonymous sources*
Love my good Canadian Woman! 🇨🇦
Mel the only one with the balls on this podcast to state the obvious…
