Well that's a naughty thing to have happen. Will be very interesting to see why it is not turning over properly. Looking forward to the next video.
Don’t mind a part 3. There’s 2 videos on UA-cam where the owner just swaps to new engines on the mclane but there’s not a lot of videos of how to work on them

hi it could be a high spot of rust on the coil needs a clean.then try the cam and mabey the cranksharft check the piston only a mabey all the best.
Hy, have you checked magneto/coil area, maybe a broken wire or two?
(Looks like it needs a light sanding with emery cloth around that area anyway!)
Camshaft/ cam lobes?
You say you had a white watery gunk type stuff in the oil, maybe a strip down and a good clean, then new oil?
Crankshaft bearing.....surface rust on bearings, maybe due to rainwater getting in there from the stuck open exhaust valve?

Valve sticking closed looked like alot of carbon build up in the exhaust port.
should clean.out the whole engine for dirt or grass.
first why didnt you use a electric wire.brush instead.of sandpaper you can damagethe angle
