0:37 i’m not a dev, but i think it’s because moves that hit the whole party depend on your ping, they can be a few milliseconds earlier or later, but since npcs don’t have ping, they get hit immediately.
Just like broadcast something so when the animation reaches the frame it would hit an npc or something it broadcasts the thing that would damage the ally (I’m no expert lmao)
Tbh y'know i kinda wish we coukd dodge for the allies so they don't die that easily and they have one life so if they die welp they're gone for the rest of the battle and also i wish like if like someone is low and they dont have items and you have like a thing with status ailments after u use it that can only be used by you for example, a dumpling if they want a heal and you only have that there shoukd be a thing for yes or no like giving consent to use that item even though its bad if they select yes they will use it and get the burn and yeah if you want them to eat another u gotta get them to say yes again if they press no then they won't eat it and it'll stay in your inentory for future use (sorry if im yapping too much im like very talkative)
I think it should Have A chance To dodge or block. Like FOR example, A 60% chance of not dodging or blocking at all, A 30% chance Of blocking, And 10% chance Of dodging.

yeah i noticed one time when my game was lagging that i still had the regular amount of time to dodge attacks
that makes sense. ive experienced these shenanigans before.
