Just did mine at MSR Cresson with my GR Corolla. I am happy to admit I overheated the AWD! (IFKYK) - don't worry, just puts the car into FWD mode temporarily until it cools off again. What a great experience. If you're on the fence, get out there and do it!
Buddy, you’re no car guy. Talk to anyone that has had extensive experience on track. A light, low powered car can just be as fun (if not more) on a track, than a high powered car that doesn’t have proper dynamics. But again, if u actually spent time on a track……you know, but I don’t. Clearly.
I love the fact Toyota does this and even now is providing fun cars to buy. However, it sucks that their GR86 has oiling issues and is blowing engines on track days. Wonder if someone who blows their engine during one of these days will get the same hardships for having it covered by warranty.
@@alxti that would be perfect. However at the moment there is zero confirmation on that. People have just been posting their own rumors up hoping for this. But this would be the ideal move for Toyota and their customers.
@@alxti the other option is to not do anything and leave it as is. Which I won't be surprised them doing that. I completely understand wanting a 4 cylinder to keep it similar to what it was previously but that 3 cylinder from the GR Yaris/Corolla is a monster and would be a huge game changer for the car.
Yeah would be pretty cool if they didn’t void the warranty right after a track day like the gr Corollas out there…. They put a system in your car to track every little thing then hold you accountable if your catches fire straight jokes
I’ve been owning a Supra for over 6 months and have not received any information about this yet! How do I reach out? My local dealership didn’t offer more information either
Toyota dropped the ball - they should have had Supras available for folks to use. Sorry, but Im not tossting my car into the barrier or messing up the halfshafts on rumble strips.
All of the GR lineup is something special. It will be long remembered and missed one day.
Any comments regarding GR86 blown engines from track days?
Never heard of that. Why would they blow an engine?
@@bngr_bngrthere’s a video of a gr86 blowing up at a track
@@johnpoe3012 so there was one.
@@bngr_bngr if you haven’t already seen it search “gr86 engine failure” on UA-cam and it should be the first one that pops up
@@bngr_bngr the FA24 in the GR86 has issues with oil pressure drops on right-hand turns that can result in a blown engine

Giving out free track days to void all those warranties

That's cool. It makes me want the Supra or Corolla more 🎉 well done Toyota
Thanks for sharing, Tim! We're glad you liked it too! ❤️
Awesome video. Happy to be apart of this stuff.

This is a really good idea, like making customers feel the real potential of their cars 😊
@ballshairysweetie6364probably can still get a better track time than you car

Nothing matters more than, Toyota.❤
This is sweet. i cant wait to get mine on the track
This is amazing, but is Toyota partnered with other racetracks across the USA?
So if my engine blows during the track will it be covered under warranty?
Only Corolla.
All bets are off on the Subie and Bimmer

good thing theyre most likely going to put the G16 in the GR86 instead of the subaru engine

Hi, Russo. We appreciate you reaching out! You can register and find more information here gr.drivenasa.com/. 😀 👍
Final fine print of video means you sign away warranty coverage and most likely insurance coverage...
Use Inlet Port not Valve in Atkinson Engine
Hi toyota, Toyota have to built Gas paddle touch the floor not make your leg so tired❤❤
Not sure we can "see what our cars are capable of"...at least the GR86 models...
Don’t go over 85 mph or they will void your warranty
None of the potential damages to cars covered
Yet they won’t cover GR86 warranty 🥴
