3:50 the fuel cell doesn't replace the engine, the electric motor does. The fuel cell along with the tanks, pumps, filters, hybrid battery, and all the miscellaneous stuff to make it all work together to make electricity replaces a battery in a regular EV.

Hi Toyota, Are you aware there is a chronic under-supply of Hybrids across your entire model range? In other words, you are promoting vehicles that are difficult or impossible for the average customer to obtain in a reasonable amount of time at a reasonable price. When is supply finally going to match demand?🤨

For the entire world to switch from internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles is not possible because of battery production and recycling problems, so only about 30% of vehicles worldwide can be converted to battery-powered electric vehicles. So why don't we research and build an electric vehicle with a generator located right on the vehicle, indeed, only with a 300-500cc motorcycle engine we can use it as an engine for a generator 25- 30 kwh instead of battery block. From there, it can be used to supply electricity for electric vehicles that only need to use 1.2-1.5 liters of gasoline (or oil, hydrogen gas...) for 100 km or less. Thus, we can solve difficult battery problems, engine performance and fuel economy problems

Tesla is and was an EV company. They have a point to prove, that is to make the electric car better than an ICE car to the point where it would be unreasonable to not get an EV. Toyota doesn't have that same perspective and as a result they only have a single electric vehicle which is worse in every way compared to Tesla's offerings who makes arguably the best electric vehicles on earth.
Diversification is great if you have infinite money and resources, Tesla went all in on EVs and as a result, they make fantastic EVs and nothing else. Toyota is more focused on their hybridized lineup and so their hybrids and primes are quite good while their EVs and FCEVs are quite mediocre. Now if we backtrack on EVs, Tesla is gonna lose, but if EVs do become the next big thing Tesla won't just be a car company, it'll be THE car company while Toyota is gonna be in the back leg.

The woman narrator is dressed in gross fashionable apparel trying to be professional and not overly sexy for a near 40 something year old woman. Anyways, glamour and shinny new cars can only sell so much. Society is not ready for these EV, HEV, PHEV, FCEV, and BEV vehicles and the expensive cost for the Charging Infrastructure. These vehicles weight a lot because of battery weight therefore, the roads will require more maintenance and repairs. Already talk about a new government tax charging people for each kilometer/mile driven in their EV. The Electrical demand on power grids and damage to the roads need to be paid. Unable to recycle the batteries, landfills with more hazardous and toxic waste. Who's idea is this? Zero emissions sounds wonderful but at what cost and hidden problems lurk?

Level 1 Charger: Home 120Vrms Ac 10-15amps typical. 1kWh+ per hr typical (so 80kwh battery 80hrs etc)
Level 2 Charger: 240v dryer cord 3pin and newer 4 pin. 30-50amps (about 8-10x faster than level 1)
Level 3 etc DC charging. NACS (North America charging standard = Tesla DC fast 30-45minute chargers)
Level 2+: Adapter off your meter = sort of new but bumps the 30-50amps up to maximum available so maybe 2-3x faster than before and sort of bypasses the fuse box limitations, and simplifies the process.
My Ford Lightning 100kWh (cheaper) battery only gets 235 miles per full charge =2.3kWh per mile average . With a Tesla model 3 you are much higher at 4-6kWh per mile. If I drive around town (low speed) up to 4kWh/mile and at 70mph it drops to 1.7-2.0kWh/mile. Higher 100psi commercial van tires wile most likely help me get closer to 250-270 miles per charge average. Heater/AC also drop your mileage.

A 20 amp 120v circuit to charge overnight is not a huge expense for homeowners. 15 amps is 1.5 kw. 20 amps 2 kw, so 12 hours overnight gets you 24 kwh, which is easily enough for most normal commutes if you start with a full charge over the weekend, though admittedly, these numbers are for a modest sized car, not your Lightning.

But i do not have that luxury now and it takes TWICE as many panels as I used to have to generate the same amt of power. That is not good and pricing for panels have gone up from the days I had them and the only change in wattage I had from the new ones today is 80 watts. Morale of the story. Auto makers need to develop solar cars but because of the uncertainties of cloudy weather, it still goes back to gas and electricity and they both are not good. I like your thinking though. Solar panel salespeople dont like me because I outsmarted them. But it is the truth and i wont lie to you, who spent 5 years with solar panels in the sunny side of CA. But I am in Tx and half the time is cloudy. My brilliant idea. Have investers build solar farms in the desert and pump it into the grid. Then minimize combustiables like gas and all of us will buy it and noone needs to put solar on their roofs. Its happening but very very slowly.
