I was lucky enough to interview Alex Chilton In London in 1980, on the release of "Like Flies On Sherbert". He spoke very fondly of Jim Dickinson.
Serge Raynaud can you link to the interview. I LOVE that album.
Brilliant man. I was lucky enough to work with him during the Dixie Flyers era in Miami...
Cool to finally hear this. Very interesting to hear his take on Alex's performances post-Thirds.
RIP Jim Dickinson-
Brilliant producer. 🎹🎸 He gave John Fry the credit he deserves. Both⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ were Memphis' best! RIP. Jim passed almost 10 years ago and John Fry passed a little over 4 years ago.
RIP, Jim.
This guy is the FUCKING man.
Go Frye! Clever chap.
very nice like it, when u get chance check out rock the house this way and write your comment
Its a damn dirty lowdown shame that Jim Dickenson never got the chance to play Colonial Sanders
Andy Hummel couldn't stand him.
