You might want to check into using 2 delay repeaters and a button repeater and 1 QT rtg to over clock , set both delay repeaters to 9, makes it work at least 3 times faster good luck
I know:))))) The "Infinite" part is about the fact that you have now learned how to do it and can do it indefinitely, in however many Astroneer worlds (saves) you want.
@@gamesforlife36 That's not how it works and you seem to have a lot of convenient excuses for somebody who got caught lying about their video. You know what infinite means. By your logic the entire game is infinite. Just change the title and literally nobody will care.
It digs more than you could dig manually, but the resource eventually gets depleted and you just have to move the setup on a different patch of that resource to keep getting it.
I've got some trade platform automation videos on the channel, where I automated the trade platform, so that it would keep getting materials on its own!
#1, not INFINATE at all and #2 two hours for 3 storages full, it's good automation tbf but you could easily do this with a wide and a boost with an auto arm to medium buggy a hell of a lot quicker and a drill in a buggy would fill them in minutes, your vids are usually really good and informative bro but this one feels inaccurate and a bit click baity bud 👍
I understand. Thank you for the feedback! I am constantly evolving as a youtuber and trying to do better. And it does help a lot when the audience is honest about what they think. So thank you for letting me know.

Exactly what i was going to say hahaha, the effort to connect all those extenders, could have just used a rail junction right up to it Either way, definitely useful for new players but fun even if you already know
The trains are incredible to do dispenser systens too, like the train with 5 chemistry labs pass and arms with amonium,lHdg be in the middle of the railway, when it pass them are loaded with the 2 itens and hydrazine is make, hoe its a loop will in the end offloading the itens
As others have said. This is NOT an "infinite" farm. And when it comes to practical/efficient, this can be done much better, especially the storage. Use a large platform B, with a large storage canister, RTG and arm. It's portable and you don't have to hang around the core. The large canister is much more practical as with the singular power, storage, collecting platform. Most astronium veins are large (hundreds). Use a large storage, not a bunch of little ones. I fly down an exchange canister, readjust the auto collection thingamajig and fly out the partially full canister which can contain a couple hundred units.
Yeah, they're pretty slow, but you can overclock them to make them go faster. Also, once a resource node is 'depleted', you can move the auto-extractor a bit to the left or to the right and it will continue gathering more. And if it really runs out after a looong while, you can simply move the auto-extractor to a different resource node.
@@Woxis12 Well, there's a thing where the green bar refills when you pick the auto-extractor up and place it down again. If that doesn't work forever (sometimes it works only a couple times), then you can just move the auto-extractor to a different node and extend the rails, which should only take about 10-15 minutes.
@@gamesforlife36 I get what you said. I know that, but it is still not infinite. Infinite is when for example you use tappers to get organic and turn those into glowstick and those into scrap. That's infinite scrap by definition, because the tapper provides organic for 1 aluminium indefinitely. So your method would be "practically" infinite, but not in the true sense of it.
I've mined over 15,000 astronium and got worried about using up the deposits around the core.....or if this is even a possibility. My auto-rail system brings it all the way up and tanks it on the surface, I only have to go and adjust the thumpers from time to time......but I'm basically following this pattern in the video. However, wanted to know if anyone knows. At the large amounts I am extracting, will I eventually use all of it up? And how long will that be, before I completely run out of deposits?
well, nevermind. I just found an incredible cache of astronium. Its in the roof all around the core where you would normally fall down to the core. However, if you are careful, you can build a floor up under it. Then you can put your thumpers on the ceiling. From what I see right now, I won't run out for at least a year. I'm pulling out about 50 astronium every 6 minutes at the present moment. Autoarms from thumper to station, and auto-railed to the surface. I stopped scrapping it when I got worried about running out, but now I have 400 * 11 canisters full so I'll be forced to start scrapping again soon.
Hint: you don't need a train station. You can attach a Storage-Full-empty-Sensor to a wagon. Let it fully load from the extractor auto arm and once full the wagon gets activated to travel to the surface. With a auto arm unload it travels back down when empty.

(i'm FR) I'm sorry but it's not INFINITE, because the Astronium isn't INFINITE. If the vein is exhausted, it does not regenerate.
