Totally agree - this was the music I grew up with. On one hand, I feel bad for folks of this generation for not having this music as they grew up. On the other hand, I love watching them react to near-perfection like this. We get to share it with them - and that's the point...

That's a lot of people's favorite Zeppelin tune, especially among people who are really into them. It's a magnificent epic that hasn't been played to death like Stairway or Whole Lotta Love.

The lyric “We are eagles of one nest, and the nest is in our souls” has to be the most poetic description of young lovers from the same place (Nest) who’s lives carried them onto different pathways in life and separated them. But where they came from and what they shared would forever remain a part of who they are.

Sometimes when I listen to this song I ask myself, did I just hear the greatest rock song ever from the greatest rock band ever ??

Great reaction, bro. If you're still on the LZ train, try "Ramble On" or "The Ocean" if you haven't yet. "D'yer Maker" is also a total banger. If you want to take a slight detour off this road, try a couple of lead singer Robert Plant's solo hits, "Big Log" and "Tall Cool One".

That was the first song they wrote for this album, then they wrote the rest of the two record set around it. Personally my fav Zep song of all time. Then Trampled under foot followed by Kashmir to round out my top three

A beautiful song that started out as an instrumental until Robert put lyrics to it. Its title is about a girlfriend Robert once had who tried to make him choose between her and music. The musicality of this is very rich and I love it.
I keep forgetting just how damn good this album is ! And how tight is BONZO on this track ? :) Peace and love

Every time I hear this song, I'm reminded how beautiful it is. Don't know how I could forget that, but hey, I can't remember everything, now, can I? :P
I'm looking forward to this Zep-a-thon, and I'm especially looking forward to the day when you listen to Robert Plant's solo stuff. He's the singer for Zeppelin, if you didn't remember his name. I'd suggest the song "Big Log" from his album "The Principle of Moments." I have that album on vinyl and it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. That song is my go-to for when I want to *feel.* It's melancholy, but not desperate. It doesn't feel lost or yearning. It feels like shared grief, and a grief shared is a grief diminished. Now that I have the words for these things I feel, I'll never shut up! At any rate, I think you'd enjoy that song, and that album.
Congratulations, again, Zay. You're just a few videos and one or two lucky algorithm breaks from hitting the 5-figure sub count, I can feel it. You're an inspiration to me to (a) be myself, unapologetically, and (b) work hard to create for the masses the art I have in my soul. Thank you.
