Pizza Hut in China is FANCY! Reviewing Pizza Hut's Beijing Menu

- Pizza Hut is one of the most popular restaurant chains in China. No I really mean it, it's wildly popular with a location in almost every shopping mall. But Pizza Hut in China is not the same menu as in the US. The Chinese Pizza Hut menu is much larger and much different than Pizza Hut in the west. Pizza Hut was once made into a much more luxurious restaurant in China, in fact several China pizza hut fine dining restaurants still exist to this day. But Pizza Hut today, while transitioning to a more approachable fast casual restaurant in China. Pizza Hut China and Genshin Impact have a partnership, so locations often feature Genshin Impact characters and have a more fun cartoonish vibe. Pizza Hut in China still maintains many upscale food items though. These include beef wellington, steak, tiramisu, chocolate lava cake, and much more. As for the pizza itself? You can expect pizza hut China to have Mongolian barbecue and wagyu beef as toppings.
It's always a lot of fun to try familiar brands in other countries to see what may be similar and what may be much different. While the food at Pizza Hut in Beijing may look fancy though, looks can often be deceiving and it may not taste as good as it looks. We will find out in this China food vlog if Pizza Hut in China is legit and one of the best local eats in Beijing, or if PIzza Hut is overrated, cheap fast food, and not one of the best cheap eats in China.

Yeah, I ate at a Pizza Hut in Beijing in 2008 and it was a really unusual experience. The waitstaff seemed to be shocked our presence and I was shocked too.
Ngl I was laughing when UA took the first bite of the steak. He usually squints when he's enjoying something but this time he was like "no this is crap" lol.

When you talk about searing the filet mignon in the beef Wellington, I was hoping you would have noticed that it was not a filet, but just processed meat. Other than that…your videos are always great!

I've been to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and Korea. Malls in these countries is something else, why can't US malls be more like these? The malls here are sad...
It’s about massive huge profit. You’ll see super nice things in America if there’s enormous money involved like in Las Vegas or Disney. But for the average downtown in America, you’ll be lucky if you find a decent public bathroom
Malls in Asia are more essential to daily life though due to the tropical heat, so they are willing to invest much more in them. That's why they are so over the top in Asia.

Good idea UA. In the tri state area they should try out some of those international recipes. An Indian or Asian inspired pizza would be interesting.
over 10 years ago i went to a pizza hut in El Salvador! the pizza I had there still lives in my dreams today. It was a fancy sit down place there too! The crust was perfectly crispy, the vegetables on my supreme pizza were so fresh and ever since then I have loved green pepper in my pizza. That was my first time at a pizza hut, and I foolishly went to one in the US thinking it would be the same. I was SO disappointed!!!

This is the #1 condiment in Tunisia for pizza lol. Be sure to try one if you ever visit.
Check out Greek restaurants when you're back in the states. Some of them put gyro meat on pizza and it's amazing.

My brother from Shanghai sent me some dishes that they ordered in Pizza Hut, shock to see Salad and another dish, Tuna on toast, so Googled and found your video. They highly praised it as my brother was from Canada .

When I lived in Beijing in 2001, Pizza Hut was located in the old Russian Embassy (which had Standard American plumbing fixtures). At that time, the high point was the salad bar. You could help yourself to one serving. I was amazed when I saw the local patrons build these humungous salad towers stacked like the Eifel Tower. They had to have engineering degrees to stack all the salad ingredients and be able to take it back to the table in one piece. Now that you know how good a vegetarian dish can taste, even at Pizza Hut, you must try Gong da lin at 2 Qianmen E St, Dongcheng, in Beijing. It's all vegetarian and it's no exaggeration to say each dish is an artistic masterpiece. You will definitely enjoy the creative flavors and textures.

I remember one of my first times in Italy, I popped into a McDonald's, and they had beer on tap, and wine! You'd never see that here!

The only way to get a lamb pizza in the States is at a high-end restaurant.
It could work in ethnic neighborhoods but your average American in the suburbs may find it revolting even if it’s good. If you look at the comments section , you already see the prejudged opinions

That :rib-eye" looks just like a McRib patty. McRib is made from processed pork extruded and shaped into a patty. It is held together with a binding gum that is also used to glue carpeting. I wonder if they cooked that steak in a microwave lol

While you are in China, I think it will be good for your channel for you to go to Chengdu and Guangzhou, the two foodie heavens in China with very different tastes. There're tons of places and foods for your contents and not many English-speaking foodie channels have done that.
Wow.. I am dating myself, but I can remember when the 3rd ring road was pretty much it. The 4th ring road was way out. To talk about a luxury Pizza Hut on the 5th ring road is blowing my mind......
Lamb on pizza doesnt sound weird at all. A pizza is basically a type of flatbread right? So im getting some Middle Eastern vibes with that dish, like a shoarma, kebab, gyros situation. Looks great!

Everytime I go to Pizza Hut here I chuckle at how nice it is compared to back home. Food quality is pretty much the same, but they try to market themselves as some fancy dining experience.

As you can see by the filet mignon inside? Seriously? Look at the irregular grain pattern. Thats closer to a hamburger patty than a filet.
That doesn't look like steak. Maybe they use meat glue and use scraps to form "steaks".
I've lived in Zhengzhou, Henan for the past 5 years. There's a Pizza hut on my block. The prices are reasonable for take out, but the pizza's just not that good. The crust is doughy and there's too many strangely diverse toppings - pineapple and sausage? - you can't get a simple pepperoni pizza. Now, I only got pizza for take out, so I can't speak to the rest of the menu - they even serve breakfast. Yes, Pizza Hut in China serves breakfast. Good luck with that.

Great video! It's interesting to see Western chains moving to other parts of the world. Subway is huge in South Korea and it is better than Subway Canada. Pizza Hut is not real pizza in my opinion. I love Beef Wellington!! There was a restaurant that specialized in it. Whole beef tenderloin in puff pastry, which they cut and serve tableside.

I tried pizza hut in japan once. IT WAS HORRIBLE, i see the menu and its all weird stuff, no normal pizzas, i ordered the one that looked more like normal and it still sucked, NEVER AGAIN!. Tried it in the US, MX and Dominican republic, all good, the best was the dominican republic pizza hut lmaoooooo. Would love to try this one, but its difficult to get the chinese visa for me :( so no china for me
