  • 2-minute video directly on the water to cover some of the most important tips (to me) to pump longer and further a hydrofoil:
    What body position is optimal?
    How to optimise squats?
    How to relax?
With my current Gong setup (see below), I improved my record from 10 to 30min in two months. I try to figure out what are the main factors and if I can pump for longer or if I need to optimise my setup (like better stab?)
    Gong setup:
    Frontwing Sirus xl 136cm
    Kluber pump board 80cm
    HM mast 70cm
    Stab Veloce 47H

Excellent video. How to control the heart rate? My heart rate rate jumps in 30 seconds towards the max heart rate and I can no longer continue. Can you overlay your heart rate chart on top of your future video and let us see how it changes during your 30 mins pump?
I think this is a critical information everyone would benefit from.
Also, what is your speed? Do you deliberately slow down to almost stall speed? Or you just pump without any concern for your speed?

Thank you for your message! Very good questions!! I’m going to make a video about heart rate and tips on how to control it.
I have already a heart rate chart at the end of this video: ua-cam.com/video/zyQCUvvOECI/v-deo.htmlsi=aV8fWd8Z3bz3uk-E
For 20min ride, average heart rate 176bpm, max 186bpm. I jump as well very quickly high, but I am making sure all the time not to enter my “red/limit” zone where no recovery while pumping is possible. At one point it is not possible anymore and I have to stop, record so far by 30min.
To control it, I try to pump using as little energy as possible and relax as long as I can. I have some tricks that I will share in the next video.
The speed is about 13km/h. I try to have the lowest comfortable speed as possible. If the speed is too low too close to stall speed, to stay in control I might want to regain speed pushing hard and quickly on your back leg, going to accelerate your heart rate.

    it looks so easy....from a pro😁

😅 well, it looks easier in video than in reality! In the videos we don’t feel that the back leg is burning or that the heart rate is very high. Speaking while pumping was quite stressful 😅

You make it looks too easy. I can't even get more than 5 pumps. Would you tell me what I did wrong? Thanks.

@@oneamateur change the skinny for 460 V2 (slower, but more stable with more glide) and don't give up. Later you can change back to skinny. It's easier with the setup he has, a huge HA front wing does miracles 🙂

@@DmitryAvramenko my maximum heart rate is 174. I've been running marathon the last 10 years. I've been windsurfing, kitesurfing, and wingsurfing. I just want to try if I can do this before my body gives out on me.
