This song is weirdly captivating. This is usually not something I would listen to but oh boy the performance was so adorable and convincing I have to stan.
When i first heard it I was like wtf but then that chorus got stuck in my head. The performance needs some finesse and im not keen on the start of the song but I cant stop doing the 🐱🐱🐱 dance.
I love the start of the song. It’s so soft and on first listen you have no idea where it going. Then when the cat stuff happens 😅 you need the build up
For me the staging should be; close camera angles in the beginning of the song, she kind of wakes up laying on the couch, a light coming in like it's the sun, and then her just doing her thing cuz she's performing the song really well, to make the beginning really nice and dreamy. Then when the beat hits, maybe play around with the back LED, have some cat paws, and an image of the cat walking to the beat for example, then the dancers coming in from the background, our singer acting surprised and happy from seeing them, and then doing the choreo. Then the 2nd verse could kind of stay the way it is, I would just dress the dancers less sexy (cause I kind of found the clothes to be too "sexy" instead of cute), and I LOOOVED the choreography with the feather. I believe this song would qualify.
This is just fun. Vocally it's good enough to send to ESC but it's not going to be Riga 2025. But at least Latvia always has the nerve to send in something different. Aminata was a success but I still love Samanta Tina and last year's Sudden Lights. I'm not sure; crazy cat lady vs. sad boy.
Cute and fun song. Maybe it could stand out on the Eurovision stage. But, yes, you're right. Her in a cat costume would just be goofy, so I'm glad she didn't go for that.
