  • Brief info. on the truck;
    It has been sitting for around 8 years off the road and the steering relay has seized up. I had unbolted the relay about a month before the video and had liberally applied penetrating oil most days, as well as beating, jacking and generally abusing it, to no avail.

    I was a Landrover mechanic 30 years ago we never pulled them apart as they are quite difficult to reassemble we would fit a grease nipple in one of the bolt holes that is not blind and with a grease gun filled with oil force oil into it.Have the vehicle jacked up and have someone turn the wheel wear safety glasses as it is under a lot of pressure get a brass drift and hit the outside of the housing if you look at it closely at the design they are self adjusting there is no need to pull them apart.

    HI Thomas - this is gold! A bit of googling and I think Ive identified the bearing puller as VEVOR 15t hydraulic puller (gdg78007301552265060) - is that right?

    What isn't mentioned is that, there's a bracket in the way on an S3. You have to pull off-centre. I'm going to give this a go.

    Which puller did you use. How long were the arms.
