Really great video Doc i got turned onto cream when i was just a pup at 13 but i totally got into there jam songs i couldn’t believe how great they were 😊
Too bad they won't let you use some of the original music in your documentaries. I'm sure you put a lot of time and effort creating these complimentary bios. Much appreciated!
Such an incredible talent. Cream was such a powerhouse aggregation. He had such a great strong voice, almost operatic and he was a killer bass player. He composed some great tunes as well. I count 4 albums from Cream; the ones mentioned and Goodbye.
I said ""they would release 3 albums while they were together"". Goodbye was released after the breakup. Most of it was recorded live on the farewell tour. They didn't go back in the studio to record after the breakup was announced.
No problem. I guess I should have said something in the video about Goodbye but time was getting a bit long for my style videos. And to be honest, I just didn't care for that album as it had a lot of studio tweaking in it to make it fly and wasn't as pure Cream to me. Pappalardi did more work on that album after the fact than Jack, Eric and Ginger did playing for it.
I had heard that story about Jack calling Ginger and not answering when he called him back. I'm not sure if it was true or not either. It was funny though! Love the video RD! Thanks!
They released 4 albums not three....Fresh Cream 1966, Disraeli Gears 1967, Wheels of Fire 1968 and Goodbye 1969. I believe Disraeli Gears was their best. Subbed brother.
I said 3 albums released "while together". Goodbye was released after they split. Mostly live stuff that was taken back to the studio and tinkered with in post production. Didn't care for the sound or production of that album at all. Totally agree Disraeli Gears was by far the best album they ever did. Goodbye the worse. Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching and commenting!
Too bad there was no mention of Bruce's involvement with John MacLaughlin, Tony Williams, and Allan Holdsworth. "Badge' is the go-to song for Jack on bass.

Your welcome. Yeah, I wish I could but it's all about those licensing fees. I use their music and it would cost me money to do videos lol

There was a lot of people, places and songs not mentioned in this video. Hard to cover a 50 year career in 15 minutes and get it all in.
