Im using lot of engine braking on my ex500 with the brakes. Is the engine braking more noticabe than on twin EX500? Can it be kinda dangerous for using it too much on sv? (locking rear wheel or smth)
@@Jack-t7l I'm a bit of a speed addict I think. But the 72 HP still can make me shit my pants, when giving it the beans from 0-100kmh. Above that it's a little slow.
0-100kmh in 3 seconds and people call this a beginner bike lol. It was my first bike, still have it (curvey) and it is not/was not beginner friendly. Great bike though.
Bike is very easy to ride power is so linear just got the bike with little street experience and I have to a say a 300 would be nicer for somebody immature but the sv650 is better for somebody more mature
mrdeath212 83° celcius is perfect. 75 ° C its optimal temperature when the motor is at his perfect temperature at 103° the fan start to cool the engine so. I have one and 75 to 80 is when my sv work better. O-100 / 3.5 to 4 sec 0-160/ 9.5 to 10 sec For the price . top 3 of best track bike with bi- cylinder in V motors. 74hp and 47 pounds of torque
and an engine runs better when it is at the optimal running temperature aka when the oil is warmed up and has thoroughly coated all parts of the engine with warm oil.
mrdeath212 he didn’t do it to a cold engine. The motor was warmed up. The engine was at 85 Celsius which is 185 Fahrenheit. This bike is from Canada. The speed is in km/h. I guess you missed that.
The bike is generally considered to pull an average 3.5sec 0 -100ks. That depends on the rider however that is similar to Ferrari and Lambo times.
The bike in the video I sold it and missed terribly. I just bought a SV650 last week, stoked to ride on the V-twin again!
+remytv lol i bought 650s few weeks ago and even didnt ride it.. i hope it will be a rly great bike like reviews usually are.
Same here! Just got myself one a few weeks ago, waiting to get my license now!
I've had my SV for nearly a year now & I'm considering to keep it as a trackday-bike! :) Completely fallen in love with the way it handles!

Have SV650. Nice bike. For those who wonder ... There is no beginners bike. There are just beginner riders.
I thought it was a great beginner bike. After 3 months of having it and I wish for more power.
@@ledfed1912 Humans, we are always like this. :)
@@RRRRefuelRideRace Haha only one thing to do, get an r1 next year.
@@ledfed1912 I have it for 6 month now, only with 48hp. I dont think its too less power

They're so neutral and easy though it makes the power easy to manage. I had an aprilia 125, less power but harder to ride.
~4sec, not 3.

My sv 650 bj99 with 51.000km runs 0-100kmh between 2.8sec and 3.5sec
you are right! you should start at most with an 300 ccm bike
I love the blend of analog tach and digital speedo vs the newer digital display.
About 73 HP stock.
Nice bike & runs good too ! I have a K6 blue one, a naked model, fun bikes.
We use the international system in Canada. Temperature is in celcius.
The engine was def warmed up the the blue light sign...:P u driving the bigg lights on?
Pretty fucking fast for only 73 hp.
How fast from 0-100kmh? And how much torque/horsepowers ot has?

holy smokes, how much do you weigh?
+Jimmy Baggs only 150 lbs
+remytv I'm 185 lbs... This is seems much faster than my bike.
the bike came with the timing retarder remover (aTRE). The only power adder I had.

What is aTRE ? Do i need it to drive my sv properly?
Looks like 3,5 sec or less.
Well, but it's 86°C =D that means it's about 187°F ;)
The engine was 86° if u look in a great detail ;)
damn

Lost 26 seconds of my life for no reason
When you look on SV, you don't lose life. You gain it

@@jankolar9446 confused what you mean by that😂
for real? ok then. the engine was properly warmed up :) oh shit yeah, i see the c there next to the 86
My grandpa has a 2000
yeah that's the temp when it first starts up, i saw. A warm engine is around 188-195 F, so comparatively, 86 F is a cold engine.
Its in Celsius

you just did that to a cold engine, you are terrible

sounds like a 250 or a scootrr
seriously? a scooter? lmfao dumbass...
The stock exhaust both sounds and looks crap. Replaced it with GPR Furore Nero on mine. Sounds and looks much better.
