  • I built this rolling cart with a worksurface so I would have a place for all my rack mount audio gear. It's designed for my home recording studio, and I built it to match my existing desk. It is 10U high fits any standard rack- mount such as mixers, patch bays and synthesizer modules. In this video, I cover how and why I built it and my experience with it thus far.
    Materials Used:
    4x8x3/4" Plywood
    Edge Banding
    Rack Rails and Screws
    Paint & Stain
    Polyurethane sealer
    Kreg Pocket Screws

I left a some of the specifics about pocket screw joinery out, but it's a pretty simple process. In this build the holes for the screws are on the top and the bottom, so they aren't visible when this is installed. If you need some more direction, search for "frameless cabinets pocket hole screws." There are some pretty comprehensive videos and guides out there.
