    Your channel is the first place to go to when I need answers or tips on sewing with Bernina. Great content.

    Cody… Your instructions are ALWAYS the best! I was fearful to oil my machine, but you make your instructions so straightforward and simple! Thank you Cody! Love your videos!

    This is the ONLY video I’ve seen that addresses the fact that the hook doesn’t just glide in effortlessly. The tip on alignment is excellent and you even offered an alternative procedure if you aren’t “lucky” enough to align it the first time. I know I can always count on your videos to give me the answers I am looking for. Thank you so much!

    After watching three different videos on when and how to oil my 770, I found yours the clearest and easiest to understand. Thank you for this great demo. Needless to say, my dealer let me down when I purchased my machine.

    I have seen a lot of 'How to's " for the bobbin area. This is THE best and clearest yet. THANK YOU! The 790+ is a brilliant machine as soon as you master the " pop the bobbin in" 😆

    OMG! Thanks for the tip on getting the hook back in place! Can’t tell you the struggles I’ve had with that. If I had known it was going to be such a pain, would not have bought this machine. The newer Berninas are way too expensive for such a awful bobbin hook!! Hopefully That trick helps. Maybe I’ll be able to like my machine now. Thanks for the video

    Geez, your explanations and video shots are so clear and helpful - thanks!!!! Is it fair to say 'don't oil in the stitch plate area regardless of the machine model? (I have an Activa 220.) -- thanks again.

    I bought a 930 about forty five years ago. It was fabulous. I thought it was getting old so I bought an artista about 25 years ago and didn't like it so I went back to the 930. About two years ago I thought I needed a quilting Bernina so I bought the 570 QE. And really hated it and went back to the 930. But my question is the 570 is my backup machine and I am using it now. It has taken about 5x as much oil as all the previous machines combined. Is this normal. I oil it with every bobbin change and it still doesn't seem to be enough. So I really started to give it a lot of oil and it still isn't enough. What are your thoughts? And thanks so much for this demo. I saw it a year ago and it changed my life with the stupid bobbin.

    Just curious as to why the 770 QE Plus is so thirsty for oil. I had not experienced that with my Bernina 1031.

    Cody, when I put my bobbin back in it always moves downward the metal bar doesn’t stay horizontal as it moves in a downward position. Am I doing something wrong when inserting the black jumbo bobbin?

    Can you tell me why a Bernina 735 would need to be oiled about 15/20 minutes? I’ve had my 735 for a year and 2 weeks. I’ve had it back into the store where I purchased it FOUR TIMES because it sounds like a bucket of bolts unless I oil it every little while. I can’t even bind a lap quilt all the way around without stopping to oil the dang machine. The technicians tell me there is NOTHING wrong with my machine….I am so frustrated!

    Bernina international told me specifically to turn off the machine before messing with the bobbin.

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651
      @sewingwithcodyandpete8651  5 років тому +2

      I understand, its to remove them from liability if anything happens to the machine or you when the customer is working in that area. The downside from turning the machine off is the light they put down there is off. haha

    I seem to have oil in my top thread at times. Have you seen this issue?

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651
      @sewingwithcodyandpete8651  5 років тому +1

      Yes, originally BERNINA had us oil the 7 series underneath the stitch plate and we were told to stop because issues like that were happening. So when you are sewing and oil/thread discoloration appears then you might need to bring your machine in for service and you tech should be able to remove the oil wick from the reservoir. I hope this helps.

    How to oil b580 Bernina Please?

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651
      @sewingwithcodyandpete8651  4 роки тому

      I will have to work on that. Unfortunately I don't have access to a machine with that hook system for a number of weeks because we had to shut down the store temporarily because of virus. But if you are looking for a video oiling your 580 it will be identical to oiling the (BERNINA 730, 200, 560 and 580) not many machines had that hook system. Hopefully this helps.
