    Great job!
I am a long time owner of Bernina's machines. You can buy from a Bernina dealership a great oiler. It looks like a pen. I have had my 180E brand new out of the box (10yrs now) and I always listen to her. She lets me know if she needs oil. She gets noisy.
    Happy Sewing!

thank you for taking the time to post that. I never knew quite where to put the oil and I use my beloved 730 machine every day in my little business. Thank you, again!

Thank you so much for this great advice. I bought a used Artista 180 last year, had it serviced then, but haven't oiled it since. I bought an oiler pen, so now I know how to use it. Great video. Looking forward to keeping up with your tips.

Thanks x a million. My dealer has shown me several times, but my vision is limited and I really can't see through his hand. Thanks for doing this.

The hook assembly is exactly the same except for the fact that the 200, 730 have the auto thread cutter blade mounted to the assembly. What you need to do gets into way more than what I can list out here. If I were to post a video of all that is involved I would be more afraid of giving out advice that would just get someone into trouble, then I get in trouble for just trying to help someone. You really need a service manual to get into timing a machine properly. I learned from a service tech.

I was taught to place a small amount of oil on the bobbin race and I use an old hypodermic needle so I only get a tiny amount on the race. I'm in shock that I've been doing this wrong all these years. I own a Artista 630. Should I discontinue oiling the race?

Linda Bee What you are using for a oiler is a good idea as you only want a super small drop of oil. Just be careful not to stick yourself if the needle is on that oiler. I have used those for oilers but I file the point off the end of the needle as they are very sharp. Possibly what you thought was the race was actually not the correct spot. I consider the race being the guide or part that holds the hook assembly in position. It's where the one part rubs against the other part and that is where you want the oil. Thanks for watching! Bill

I will add by saying that the guide or race is a bit different looking on a 630 as that is a CB hook machine. It still needs to be oiled every few hours of sewing. It simply gets a small drop of oil where the hook assembly moves and rubs against the hook basket assembly. On the CB hook models the bobbin hook can be removed for cleaning and oiling. There are other videos on this site that show you how to do this. Thanks for watching!

Is this the only place that oil should be placed?

could you please please do a video of how to correct the timing on the bernina 180 or the other models that are similar I believe rotary system machines
I know a lot of people would like to see it, I have many tools, and have done many of my vintage singer machines, but I need to know just how to remove and replace the whole basket etc.. I took the covers off, and I see the timing belt etc. and I have a lot of knowledge about sewing machines.. please can you? where is your website sales.

    hi
can you please tell me on this machine, it looks like my 180 race hook area, how do I remove the race hook assembly and replace it correctly because the needle keeps hitting the race hook, and I need to reset the hook and needle bar. I am in the middle of a project and need to fix it asap..I removed the side cover, the feed dogs and now I am wanting to reset my race hook and time my needle to it, I have learned how to do it if I can remove the race hook, release it, how?

I went looking for you on ebay. Seller "bushvideo" is this right? Could not fine you.

Yes bushvideo, that’s correct. My eBay store name is Bills Sewing Machine Garage. You can do a web search for the ebay store name and you should be able to find me. Though I do not have any sewing machines on eBay right now. After 18 plus years of selling and servicing Berninas I have taken a brake this past year. Right now I am taking in Bernina repairs and I do have about 8 or so nice lightly used Bernina 180 models that I have had for years and really need to sell. Not out of the Bernina business, just a well needed brake. Let me know what you might be looking for. Possibly I can help you out. You are welcome to email me at joekind@comcast.net You can also message me through eBay but ebay is now monitoring every email for key words that might indicate that someone is trying to do business outside of ebay. They don’t want to miss out on their high 9.5% final value they take from sellers on the total cost of the sale including shipping. Ebay has gotten way out of hand with fees. It’s geared for the mass sellers. The heck with the small sellers who built that business. As you can see ebay has me rather frustrated right now. It’s not what it once was.
Thanks for watching my video 😁

Is there a way to use a USB instead of burning Cds without upgrading the software of the machine?
