  • Customer states and mechanical problems in one digestible video for you to enjoy!
In todays episode we see the destruction of an oil pan after the customer ran over a brick, a couple of knocking engines and the loudest broken pulley I've ever heard. Enjoy!

    0:00 Intro
0:04 Super confusing issue, if the car was running I'd say a backfire but as it was off I have no clue
0:11 Smart of this guy to turn it off straight away and saving the engine
0:23 That’s why we perform thorough trade inspections.
0:34 May as well replace the blower motor while you're at it
0:48 We'll that's a first mini farm I've ever seen in the boot of someone's car
0:58 They really thought this was going to be a simple brake job when it should've been done years ago
1:14 2017 Chrysler Pacifica motor mount seemed to be MIA
1:30 I was thinking maybe sugar otherwise I have no idea what it could be
1:45 Time for a new lift
1:51 The amount of times I've seen these engines with rod knock recently, stay away
1:59 This Honda odysseys rear shocks failed at only 50,000 miles
2:06 Not a happy subframe, a common issue for some Nissans
2:09 Got to love GM's 2.4 chain guides
2:21 Unfortunately we don't know what the customer hit to cause this damage
2:28 They don't make them like they used to
2:46 Customer States "I've got no brakes". I think we all know it hasn't had brakes for quite a while
3:07 Service managers have to turn these types of cars away unless they want to do the work themselves
3:17 No idea how all of this water managed to get into the transmission
3:40 Do not buy an eco tec 2.4 I've seen so many of these engines in the shop
    4:02 This was a inline 4 cylinder, should've gotten a v8 one
4:18 Well this is certainly the loudest bad pulley I've ever heard
4:28 Sometimes you need to send proof of things being wrong to convince the customers
4:36 Found where 4th gear went
4:46 Customer states, I didn't see the speed bump"
4:54 Well at least we know the diff is good
5:00 Super unlucky for this truck driver especially losing the air bag
5:13 At least there were no mice nesting on this one
5:25 I'm surprised the engine was still running
5:42 Wonder how long its actually been making noise for
5:51 The mechanic said somehow it missed all of the wiring so it definitely could've been a lot worse
Thanks to Blake for this clip check out their Instagram at @ / blakea_f
6:15 Going to need some extra parts to fix this alignment
6:24 This really needs to be off the road, hopefully the customer realized its dangerous to be driving around in and decided to sell it
6:46 I've never seen a wheel bearing so smooth before it just keeps rolling
7:08 Likely is just a pulley/bearing that needs to be replaced
    7:25 Another terrible wheel bearing
7:43 A customer took this Rav 4 to a shop after this thumping noise however the mechanic couldn't find what was wrong

The spark plug ground tab was a common shutoff for older small engines. I've had a couple of mowers with that feature.

How did Honda figure out how to engineer a reliable engine in the 90s, but todays modern manufacturers can't build an engine that'll last over 5 years

    • @rcsibiu

Simple! It is called Programmed Obsolescence. If you make a car which will never get broken down you won't be able to make a profit out of that car. You sell it and that's it. But if your car has flaws and these flaws appear AFTER the warranty expires you are in luck, you will make a heap of money! Because the buyer will have to come to you and buy parts for his broken car because he needs a car. And when he is sick of his broken car he will need new car because new cars offer warranty. Basically you will make money non stop because those cars continue to break down

    • @fracturedraptor7846
      @fracturedraptor7846 2 місяці тому +16

It's called planned obsolescence. Things are engineered to fail, or made poorly so that happens, so you'll buy a new one or parts far sooner than you normally would.

@@davidmccord8286 AFAIK that's how ALL small engines shut off, by shorting the ignition. It's just that these days it's an internal switch.

It's sad to see that some types of engines these days are deliberately set up to fail in a short span of time, whether it being by error, or even taking any consideration on the quality of parts. 3:49 I'd say it's right there with Hyundai/ Kia 2.4 and 2.0 only thing is... Hyundai/ Kia at least cover their customers with at minimum 1 free engine with their 10 yr 100k miles warranty. GM just has a standard 5 yr 60k mile warranty... so essentially when you need an engine you're warranty is expired.
