A note about the crazy air intakes. Each one of them serves a purpose, unlike a lot of cars made by Toyota today. Those vents through the lexan rear-window are actually really necessary to allow, not only engine heat out, but even more so for the heat rejected from the two intercoolers right bellow that window. @Ikechuk Ugwuadu Onyewu Right. Poorly build, it never reached 200 mph, gained value only thanks to Enzo's death, no luggage compartmente, no climate control, extremely uncomfortable seats and one can't even open the engine bay without help while risking to destroy the locking mechanism. No $hit: Is a fabulous car!
@Ikechuk Ugwuadu Onyewu Is that a sort of insult? For your reference: Some versions of the 911 and its derivatives of the same era (And older) fits more in the sportcar category that the F40. Try to drive, maintain and repair for a prolonged period of time and the dream will turn into a total nightmare.
Heres me, sitting with $1k in the bank, watching this video and taking every little detail in as if I am making a decision whether to buy this or a Diablo... Not that there would be any need for decision making, F40 all day every day. Id happily daily drive this motor. I genuinely wonder how long it would last/how much your repair bill would be even after just 2 years of daily driving this thing, nevermind the sheer mountain of fuel you'd be going through.
James Long no he didn't & i'm willing to bet you're also not old enough to get married. Really wonder why people need to make shit up for internet points 🤣🤣
I daly drove an F40 in the '90s. It remains the only car I ever regret selling. Not because it has quadrupled in value. It was an incredible driving experience.
This car had one thing above all others- love. The creators wanted the purest connection with the road that was achievable, nothing else mattered. When you drive it at the limit the car disappears beneath you and it is just you running across the tarmac. I can only describe that moment as raw love that sears in to your brain never to be forgotten. Across a life time it can be measured in just seconds but somehow the men who designed this car embodied that feeling in this machine. That is the true miracle of the F40.
You really managed to give the reader a glimpse of what it feels like when man and machine become 1 being in perfect harmony. To think that only a century ago most people were still traveling by horse is mindblowing to me

No this is no where near a kit car ,the fit , finish only the interior is normal for weight reduction, and the engineering
Where did I say this is a kit car? I said ‘It almost LOOKS like a kit car’ because it does. I never said it was. Of course the drivetrain and chassis structure has generational Scuderia input, wind tunnel, etc. Did you not understand the entire two sentence comment?

And when you realise people who buy them don't drive them rather let them gather dust in name of preserving miles

Any car be your dream car, but it should make more sense if you would at least know why it's you dream car. Try to drive, maintain and repair for a prolonged period of time and the dream will turn into a total nightmare.

That was kinda beautiful how you put that.
You really managed to give the reader a glimpse of what it feels like when man and machine become 1 being in perfect harmony.
