A true Renaissance man with unmatched charm… every video from Rajiv feels like a gift (beautifully wrapped of course)!
WELL SAID!
As a classical pianist of 10 years, now, I got very excited seeing your post. Recently I've noticed a lot of talk about the defunding of orchestras and classical music-related events and how that stems from the misunderstanding of classical music. I, from the bottom of my heart, appreciate you using your platform to bring up this general topic.
I love that you brought up how music conveys a univeral message that words can never even begin to explain. Even trying to explain how to play a certain passage, words can not describe. We kind of just use a big motion with our hands while using undescribable noises to explain it. Music really is a powerful thing, especially classical, because you had people that actually knew how powerful it could be composing those pieces and songs. Thank you again
Well said,@ Avion 1776
You are the most talented human I have ever seen. You are not only beautiful physically (okay handsome), you are beautiful in every other way! What an amazing man! Thank you for enriching our lives so much. 💕💕💕
I bought a used piano three weeks ago, started relearning how to play, contacted a teacher, had my piano tuned yesterday … now I must go practice my Mozart, learn some Chopin and be flooded with joy and beauty. Thank you, as always, for the inspiration ❤
Sooooo happy for you!!!❤❤❤🎉❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤ make a video and share the link here!! Looov to hear you!!!
@@SaralinaLove I’m too camera shy for that 🤣 But thank you so much for the enthusiastic encouragement!
Is there ANYTHING you can't do!??????? Classical Music chills me out in a Crazy World.
The world is a better place because you have lived, Rajiv. Thank you for bringing joy and beauty to my day.
Classical music puts me in a zone were time stops existing...these music will never get old
I love the story about the reveal of the Verdi statue! What an experience that must have been for the people who were lucky enough to be there.
I know, right?! I wish I was there.
I believe you actually took us to that time and auspicious event @rajivsurendra
I believe you actually took us to that time and auspicious event @rajivsurendra
At the age of 68 I started guitar lessons. It is now 2 years later, and while not great, songs are sounding like they should. I agree. Learn to play for your own benefit. It’s a source of joy.
This is so beautiful to read. Thank you for inspiring others!
Oh Rajiv you are so talented and apart from that you are the most beautiful human being.
❤ Master Rajiv making our Saturdays special.
This episode was sooo beutiul. A world without him is a grey world. Thank you for such sensational content.
You are the prime example of how capable humans are. You are so amazing you know how to manifest your desires with your heartfelt efforts. Your talents are incredible cause of your hard work and the way you look at the world. I am so happy and proud you are our nephew. 🙏❤️🙏🥹
We love him too ❤❤❤
Rajiv…I must’ve played this 10 times before sending my heart felt Gratitude to you. This was beautifully orchestrated to add a Joyous Celebration of Life Worth Living! Music has such on impact on human interaction, thoughts and feelings more than we realize. These composers had gifts unimaginable, but nothing hindered them. They created even amongst serious of circumstances, yet centuries later, their efforts move us and bring us to tears! I giggled and could see you singing to your Poochie❤My ShiTzu’s name was Sugar! I never knew I could love something so much, at a young age. I also shed a tear of you singing to the moon😂 There is Beauty All Around if we only take a Moment to Look & Listen! “…and I think to myself, Oh What A Wonderful World!” You are My Sunshine! Thank you for the Music! Love You To The Moon! Xo🌙🤍🎵Xo
Moonstruck, the best movie about the moon. Also about opera.
My favorite movie of all time
Lol😂❤my list of favorites is very very long!
You're literally the only other person I've met or seen who seems just like me cause of the vast interests you have. I always felt lost being someone who had too many interests and i could never find people who were like me. But watching your content makes me feel like i can do it all and not have to choose. So thankyou. I now do everything from crotchet to roller skating and i listen to everything from classical to country and metal. I'm always looking for new things to pick up (surfing next maybe? lol) cause I find joy in immersing myself in hobbies and music and finding the things that make people love them.
That's awesome, there are many of us hobbieists sprinkled around but most are introverts so we're hard to find. Maybe online groups could help?
How can the Angels have bestowed so many gifts on one person? You are extraordinary Rajiv ! Bravo!! 🌹
I have always loved classical music and this was such a lovely video to start my Saturday morning. You are an absolute treasure Rajiv.
Love this episode- I was a classical trained pianist as a child ❤. I fortunately also own an apartment in Tuscany Italy 🇮🇹 and our village hosts operas during summer. This year on Saturday 29 July they are performing Giuseppe Verdi's masterpiece La Traviata - feeling blessed ❤
I have played the violin since I was age 7. Even take it with me during my travels sometimes. I love Baroque music the best. ❤
Mr. Surendra … a life fully and well lived! I am in awe of you!
Remember those Most Interesting Man In The World campaign for Dos Equis beer? I think Rajiv is a living example of such a person.
I agree!
Dvorak was my grandfather's favorite composer. I listen to his music everyday to remind me and I fell in love with it. Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" was played when my grandfather died. I cry every time I hear it.
I’m not a Catholic but I never play Ave Verum Corpus without crying for its sheer beauty. Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring is another one. All music is for all people.
Rajiv, thanks for this calming and soothing start to my Saturday. I love certain classical pieces, one of my favorites being Bach's Concerto for 2 Violins. It always has me in tears by the end, in a good way, almost cathartic.
For at least the last 30 years, classical music plays in my living space always. 3 radios spaced around my apartment play the station we in NYC are blessed to have, so shout out to WQXR, put it on, leave it on, contribute if you’re able. Thank you Rajiv for your lovely tribute.
We used to sing to our animals especially when they were in the barn during the winter. Your story reminded me. Thanks.
Thank you, Rajiv, for showing us the beauty of life on so many levels. Your artistry is truly your gift to us, but your ability to communicate, to teach us the nuances of art, is magical.
Music is the medium of emotions 😊 I can not listen to Pavarotti singing vesti la guibba without shedding a tear 😢
That Beethoven sonata always brings tears to my eyes, it’s truly beautiful
The gift is in the hearing of each note perfected in the release of the tones of each individual instrument which makes composers theoretical geniuses. Our senses are corrupted by constant sounds intrusive to hearing the genuine sounds created by nature. Taking time to listen is the key. Then composing it, it's incredible. I'm astounded by the gifts bestowed on you. May each day be fruitful in all you attempt to do, always. Blessings, Jersey Ann from NJ 🎹🎹🎶
I saw the film "A Room with a View" more than once mainly because I wanted to hear the music again. I didn't know what it was but it turned out to be "O Mio Babbino caro".
Beautiful video. I have always loved classical music and listen to it all day as I work. Thank for reminding me of how special this genre of music really is.
Thank you Rajiv. There is something that is moving in your last words. It leaves me teary. Thank you, i am delighted to be part of your world.
'Oh mio babbino caro' always brings tears to my eyes, it is so achingly beautiful. 'The Flower Duet' always mesmerizes me, I get transported somewhere. 'Clair de lune' always brings a picture of moonlight on water and gliding swans, and thoughts of my mom; she loved that song. 🦢💙
I love the Flower Duet too.
Thank you. We need the younger generation to support our symphonies and Philharmonic orchestras. Come to the Santa Fe Opera this summer!😊
I can honestly say that classical Music was my first love, and it's still my favorite, sacred and secular. No other music gets to the feeling so deeply.
How better to start the weekend then by watching and listening to Rajiv share his passions while I eat breakfast 🥰
Same here. What a blessing.
The first time I remember hearing classical music is when I was in kindergarten in 1959. They played Peter and the wolf during our nap time. I still enjoy classical music to this day at age 70.
Thank you Rajiv for reminding people there is still good in the world , you just have to listen for it.😊❤
I loved that scene........it enriched every inmate at that moment.....the look is in their eyes
When you showed us how the bubbles sound, I remembered the moment when for the first time I recognized the chipping of the birds in an instrumental song - Romanian Rhapsody I by George Enescu.
I was in owe!
I love to listen to Paganini violin pieces and draw or paint in the afternoon or night. I feel like the genius of Paganini makes my pencil or brush move better.
Lord have mercy, does it get in sweeter, richer than this? This was pure gold to watch, dear Rajiv. ⭐️
I have always loved classical music!❤
Protect this man at all cost! Your videos are rare gems and a real inspiration. Thx for teaching, entertaining and empowering your viewers! Greetings from Germany PS: I usually listen to Hardcore, Punk and Indie but going to a classical concert is like an emotional adventure. I'm an amateur but Debussy and Ravel deeply move me. ❤
OK, now I love you! Classical music is my passion!
Rajiv, your art is your life and your life is your art.
Thank you for showing us that it is that simple ❤
Thank you for bringing back good memories of when I first fell in love with classical music. Hugs and blessings.
What an amazing video! When I was a shild, I saw in TV the concerts where Bernstein explained classical music to children: I got hooked until today and I'm 62 years old. Today I remembered those moments, those magical feelings through your passion and your words. Thank you, so much, Rajiv, for showing. Thank you. If you like barroque music look for João Domingos Bomtempo, a XVII century portuguese composer. Greetings from Portugal!
It’s so beautiful to listen to classical music. My late mother loved classical music and I learned to appreciate it from her. It’s wonderful to have Rajiv show us his own appreciation for this beautiful music. Thank you so much!
I feel genuine love for you when I see you making these videos. I wish I was your friend. Thanks,
Thank you Rajiv I was feeling so low and you reminded me how uplifting classical music is and wow has it raised my spirits. It was so nice to be led to you this morning. They're very clever up there!
This is the loveliest video I've ever seen on youtube.I need to find a classical piece that express how so.
Thank you again, Rajiv. My favourite opera is Puccini's La Rondine. I love the song, Chi il bel sogno di Doretta.
Perfect way to begin my day. Thank you!
What a cultured man! Beautiful video!
Thank you for sharing your love of living your life as a work of art..... I was in classical music in NYC for many years, I know what this music means to me...... Movies about classical music include "Amadeus," "Immortal Beloved," "Copying Beethoven," just to name a few.
Omg this opera reminds me of the song they sing in a room with a view
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Rajiv! You are an inspiration to so many and I look forward to more of your amazing and interesting content.
Wow, you have a beautiful singing voice 😊
Just went to see Rusalka at the opera last week. Wonderfully timed.
What a great video! I expected a “how to” guide, but instead I was actively participating in appreciating music for 14 minutes! Highlights: 9:15 and 12:45 especially if you are like me and delight in hearing Rajiv say “bubbles.”
Even your handwriting is beautiful!
I start most of my mornings watching a video of yours.....this particular video has me in tears of true emotions, im touched...thank you, bless you
Rajiv, you are an amazing , thank you thank you for expanding simple beauty in the everyday.
The poet Li Bai fell in love with the moon. Check him out. Verdi appealed to me right away when I was in my early 20's. It was very natural. Nice sweater, Rajiv. Bubbles make a popping sound, no?
Ahhh I really loved this video!! I started playing the piano in december and started listening to classical music and I absolutely LOVE it!! Your passion and enthousiasm is the most wonderful thing to watch ❤️🎼
always wnjoy your videos. A true renaissance man!,
Hi Rajiv! Pls consider doing a series on accessing/ appreciating western classical music with some kind of chronological flow. Your two videos on it are entertaining and informative with excellent storytelling. Thank you!!
I was exposed to classical music at age 4. It's not the first song I play for the day but the respect for the music was planted. It's nice to share your experience with us.
Beautiful. I absolutely agree. The offer for the free Czech lesson to cover Rusalka is outstanding :-)
You are so talented in so many ways. Thank you for sharing.
Rajiv, is there anything you can't do? You are so talented in everything!
Beautiful! Thank you! I haven’t really heard much Verde, but I’m inspired to listen, especially to Aida. (My Italian grandmother was named Aida).
Celeste Aida, forma divina.
I am a classical piano teacher and need to share this video during group lessons!
Rajiv Surendra, you are a treasure!
What a joy to have watched this video. My heart feels full and delighted. Thank you, once again, Rajiv 🙏
Rajiv, I was absolutely in tears during this video! I have no words…only total admiration! ❤
I appreciated your view on this. It made me see the value other people see in classical music better even though i just can’t bring myself to enjoy the sole sound of it 💛
You exude a sense of warmth that I can’t put into words. It’s welcoming and feels so familiar. Please continue to inform, share and introduce us on your these treasures PS- I’m Lovin the hair.
Really appreciate you……eloquence and elegance never go out of style.
How wonderful, wonderful inspirational person you’re! Thank you💕💕💕🌸
o mio babbino caro is one of my all time favorites- in any rendition so pure. love the story of singing it to “bootsy” haha. i automatically feel like i understand the love there :)
Beautiful video! Thank You for sharing!
Omg, an early Saturday morning video from my favorite HOT UA-camr! Life is good!
My first exposure to classical music was through Looney Tunes 😂 I would get so excited when I would hear “ride of the Valkyrie” on the radio because I recognized it from the cartoons I was watching. I later joined the school orchestra and was exposed to more classical music pieces. Now I play only classical music for my kids. ❤
Thank you Rajiv, for sharing your sweetness & light! ❤❤❤😊
Favorite indie and foreign films, please. Thank you. 😊😘. And i hope ENCHANTED APRIL and IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE will be on that list.
As a child I would put on my mothers classical 78 records of opera and piano and around the living room and sing the arias in the basement (the neighbors probably thought I was being tortured!) It was such a joyful thing to do even though I didn't understand what they were singing. Some seventy years later I still think of that little girl playing out the mysic that touched her soul. Thanks Rajiv for your beautiful videos.❤
This brings me back to the 7 years of choir I did in school, my first introduction to classical European music, and it’s making me want to get back into it ❤
Oh mio babbino Rajiv ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This man can do anything.
Rajiv is an angel. I send these videos to my sons. We need Rajiv in our lives.
Id like to see a day in the life sometime. Ok if its just boring stuff. Not that anything you do coukd ever be. Nice signing. I wonder if we take our passions with us in heaven
My gosh Rajiv! Your videos always hit it out of the park!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏

Music is amazing. It's able to terrify and relax us, among other emotions...Awesome video Rajiv❤❤❤❤
Ahh! Rajiiv!! You've done it again! I was transported to the mesmerizing world of classical music. I love classical music. WQXR is my favorite radio station. Thanks for sharing the story of the statue of Verdi in NY.. the narration was hair raising.. You are such a good singer and you play the Harp so well.... Even 15 min with you is so Rich!!! Thank you!
Classical music moves me to tears. Im happy to see that its an emotion for you Rajiv, man of many talents, play on.
For me, the first classical song was Caruso. I still get chills when I listen to it. 😊
I could listen to you explaining and speaking ALL day. You are my favorite UA-camr! And all rounder lol
Because of you, I will be a more soulful listener.
