    The tip about a ‘3/4’ stitch with a ‘1/4’ stitch or two ‘1/4’ stitches with a possible back stitch was so useful to me, as the other day working on a project I became confused which stitches were the right ones to do, thank you so much for clearing this up for me 😊

    Not only extremely informative but presented in a calm, pleasant manner, which is so appreciated. Nugget is adorable. I can see why he is the star of the show! As a teacher, we once had a parakeet as a class pet, and he was the best pet we ever had. He had a pleasant chirp and the kids loved him. Thank you for creating such wonderful videos and please keep them coming. I'm all set and ready to begin the winter SAL. Have all materials and am just waiting on Part I of the pattern.

    I had searched for a help on fractional stitches when I was previously working on a project but could not find the answer I needed. I had to figure it out on my own, but you have now hit on how to work with 2 colors that meet side-by-side with fractional stitches (at about 9:20). This is SO helpful and provides new info that has been previously missing in the tutorials I've watched. Thank you!

    Great video. I too was unsure about the difference between different fractional stitches and petite stitches, as well how the various stitches are indicated on the pattern. Thank you so much for your lesson!

    Really helpful! I am pretty new to cross stitch and have been needing a really good explanation of these types of stitches, thank you!

    This was extremely helpful!
    I'm new to embroidery and taught myself how to do it.
    I'm currently working on a small project and had some issues with "rounded" corners and thought that the only way to create curvy lines is to make some line on top of all the cross stiches!
    (Which can be tough to do since there are multiple stitches going through the same hole and overlapping eachother, which makes it harder with each stitch)
    This video is truly eye-opening to me and will save me a lot of struggles with my patterns!
    Thank you so much for explaining it so calmy and for all the tips!

    This was really helpful thanks. I had the unfortune of having a chart that didn’t specify what mini stitch I was doing .. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4. They look like petite stitches from how you explained. Thanks so much

    Best video for fractional stitches! I like how you show what fractional stitches look like on a pattern and I never heard of petite stitches!
    If a foreground is 1/4 stitch and the background stitch is 3/4, is it still better to do the foreground stitch even though in this case, it's the smaller stitch?

    • @SonovaStitch
      @SonovaStitch Рік тому +1

      I generally start with the smallest stitch first and build up from there. Whatever is the single biggest piece of the stitch goes last so that it can cover up any imprecision in the earlier parts.

      @SonovaStitch I wish this video existed back in January when I did a non CCS pattern with fractional stitches. There weren't any real good videos on the topic and no helpful hints with background and foreground fractional stitches. I did contact the designer for help, and it took 3 weeks for a very confusing reply. The pattern turned out a mess but it's only 2" x 4" and not worth framing.

      Oof, that's rough! Sorry I didn't get this video produced early enough to be of use for that project, but at least you'll be prepared for whatever comes next!

    Would you wait to do the fraction stitch or do it with the rest of your crosses?

    • @SonovaStitch
      @SonovaStitch Рік тому +1

      I had a segment about this but had to cut it for time. I always complete the fraction when I come to it rather than waiting. Too many times I forget to do the fractional stitch on my way back crossing all my stitches!

    I feel like i'm the only one who does there fractional stitches wrong. On Adia it wasn't a problem cause it hid it fine but on even weave it didn't like me doing both full fractional stitches. So i'm a crazy person and doing single stands in both colours. I like how it looked to much, and i feel like you don't see both colours when one is ¾ stitch vs the quarter stitch.

    This was very helpful! I’ve watched a few videos on fractional stitches and this was the first one that helped me to understand fractional stitches and explained everything clearly. Thank you Ford & Nugget! 😊🪡🧵
