Hey brother, quick question. My concern with this camera is that it won’t be accepted as a “personal item” when traveling in airplanes. You know that they allow you to take a carry on Bag and a personal small item. But this backpack is the same size as my carry on, so I’m guessing they will force me to carry only one
The version I have it looks like nomatic added a loop sticking out so you can lock the zipper on the front. Not sure when they added that but it’s on mine I did t notice it on the first run of the bag
Hey! What are your thoughts about backpack for snowboarding activity but also can carry drone, camera and etc.. I am between Shimoda Action or was considering Nomatic PM backpack( the one on the review). Thanks!
I have loved this bag since I got it. The bag had held up fine for a long time, apart from the main zipper handles both breaking off at around 3-4 months into using it. Now, however, the main compartment zipper broke, and this essentially renders the bag useless. Living in Europe, I don't see how I can have this fixed or replaced - any ideas?
You haven't put yours thru the ringer. The PM bag gets scratched easily because of the tarpaulin type material. The zoom zippers break after moderate to heavy use. I have used it in heavy downpour and it eventually gives into the elements without a rain cover. Wish the camera compartment had a cover. In heavy dusty areas or sand, those elements go thru the zoom zippers. Wish they made it YKK zippers instead. Nomatic has a huge issue with its zippers, even with their regular bag line. The shoulder straps take forever to dry when wet and a longer time to break-in and quite an effort to clean. I got my straps wet during a fishing trip and man i had to soak it to get the smell of the sea out. Also a pickpocket was able to get a couple of items on the outer zipper. The PM logo screams camera bag. Wish it was more stealth like the Peak Design. Wish it had a built-in lock like the Manfrotto Flexloader. What I love about it is the brown interior, camera interior is maximized and that it's expandable so you can bring some compressed cubes (clothes). I think it's a good bag but not at the level of a Shimoda or PD 45L bag. For $400+, it's has got to do better. I agree with your recommendations. Thank you for your review!
I counted 48 times from start to finished i think when he hit number 10 I started laughing and just kept counting how many times he said backpack. i had to watch the video again to hear what he was talking about lol
I store my tripod and gimbal stand on the sides of my current bag, that’s a big downside for me not having two side pouches, or my Bluetooth speaker. Really a downer
No I think the backpack is really nice wow but the one problem with this backpack you didn't mention is the price $399 on Amazon you've got to be f****** kidding me. Sorry Peter you ain't getting my money
@@SidneyDiongzon very true, but you’ve recommended some awesome products over the years. It just feels like there’s a Peter McKinnon tax on a slightly improved Peak Design Travel backpack.
Whoops. I called the zippers YKK when they're actually ZOOM Zippers (basically the same thing)!
Gift me a phone in Nepal , Nepali fan
Mine is on its way to me at the moment... this was great to see a full breakdown and "one year later" overview
Thank you for the update review! I have been binge watching your videos
Glad this was helpful! And thank YOU for watching my videos!
Love this back. Traveling to California with it in a few days. Also supported the kickstarter on the new one. Can't wait for it.
Love (and miss) California. Enjoy your trip!
Nice job Sidney. I am excited to receive my everyday bag. Really hope it is coming soon!
Welcome to the backpack review 🌎

I love this review, I’ve been waiting on them to ship the new one
Thanks dude!
WOW Thank you sooo much. I was getting ready to buy this bag and was not feeling confident about it. Thank you for that video.....perfect timing !!
I have it and its amazing.
I've been contemplating a while. I might pull the trigger just because of this video!
Oh cool! Yeah it's a great backpack!
Nomatic x Peter McKinnon Backpack seems kinda PERFECT.

Interesting….
Great to see the one-year breakdown of Peter's bag. I'm glad to hear that Peter put together a solid long-lasting backpack!
How is it for hiking, is the waist strap super comfortable

Take a shot every time Sydney says "backpack".
Lol

It has a lifetime warranty doesn't it?
@@phibetakafka Yes, I got in touch with them via Facebook and have sent in a warranty claim. I hope it will work out - love that bag!
@@phibetakafka Update: Just got a message from Nomatic saying I get a full replacement - waiting for the shipping details! 🥳

42 ... 42 times you said backpack. I'm going crazy.
I’ll say it more in the next backpack video

Get the Nomatic x Peter McKinnon Camera Backpack - geni.us/lAO6
Is that gonna be a giveaway stuff? ^^
No, lol
Bro are you still using your Peter McKinnon Backpack? Can I buy it or if ever you're giving it away :P
Did anyone count how many times he said backpack in this video? It’s a lot. Even for a video about backpacks.
How much clothes can you store in that space… it does not seems to be able to put that much
Probably a day or 2 days worth
I thought the zippers are zoom zippers.
You're correct, my bad. But they're essentially the same.
No I think the backpack is really nice wow but the one problem with this backpack you didn't mention is the price $399 on Amazon you've got to be f****** kidding me. Sorry Peter you ain't getting my money
There’s def other bags out there. My fav travel bag actually cost more…$549 😭😭😭
I just couldn't see spending $400 for a bag. I'd rather put that in gear.
Camera bag protects and transports that gear

LOL, a PM tax 🤣 That’s actually pretty funny
