I just took the 15mm bolts out in the door jambs and was able to pull the whole thing forward without taking as much apart. This is a job that you don't know until you've done it. It's aggravating.
I'm so glad your replied, I'm on my barn puter now with a question. Are two of the fasteners that secure the HVAC box to the firewall bolts that run from the outside in and not a nut on a stud? I heard there's 7 bolts holding it. I'm down to 2 and cannot find them. I had to tell my neighbor not to bring the kids out in the backyard around me while I'm doing this job because there is no telling what verbal grenade my mouth will hurl at this truck next!!
@@Cunnilingusaurus Have you watched video 9? I tried to show where the 7 were. Yes, it looks like they may be a stud and nut. ua-cam.com/video/C29h0w5Q8hw/v-deo.html
I need to remove the dash pad. Do you (anyone) have a video on that? 99 GM 3500. Can’t find a SINGLE video but DOZENS on 1500 and 2500 series. Mine is different no real dash grab handle etc.

Nice. I like making the job shorter and easier.

@@Cunnilingusaurus There are 7. Let me look it over and get back with you shortly.

@@FakeLegGreg wow! thank you! I'm taking a break now.
Let's see the videos of putting it back together.
Why not look at the existing videos in reverse order? Then you can make the videos as you reassemble the dash. Thanks for watching.

Where do you buy a dash panel for your truck? I have a 2005 that’s in need of a replacement dash?
just did this and if you drop the steering wheel and column your life will be easier
I like that suggestion. I hope I never have to do it again to find out if it is true. :)
You gotta be kidding me
