Subarashi..... wonderful, just what I was looking for....is there a generalized version for this theorem for multivariable polynomial? also for a given polynomial (not necessarily single variable), is there way to determine if it has rational root. you see, Iam working on a project to find rational numbers satisfying the equation of a rotated ellipse (whose equation cant be written as standard ellipse equation) and to do that I need to find a way to obtain rational roots of a multivaribale polynomial. I have already found a way to find their rational roots but they involve insane geometry in 3 dimension and are too tedious to find them everytime you have to find their rational roots. Iam looking for a simple formula via rational root theorem. I would be very greatful if you can help me with this project.
