Great video dude the amount of gold in and around Melbourne is greatly underestimated and your videos definitely prove that mate. No one expects to find gold but the dream of finding it keeps us going. Keep making videos mate there enjoyable to watch and dream of greater future prospecting. Keeps us a bit sane in these uncertain times and represent hope in an ever increasingly costly Melbourne living. The gold is always there 👍👍👍
Pretty cool, right about filling in holes I don’t think the locals or parks would appreciate holes been dug and making the place messy. Still plenty of gold around
Great video, Fishy Bastards. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed that thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! The way you navigated the old mining site was fascinating. What strategies do you think are most effective for maximizing finds in such overgrown areas?
Im not a prospectors bootlace but im having a go. I just try and find places where I'm uncomfortable to swing. Because if im not comfortable I'd say others would have put it in the "too hard basket".
@@fishybastards that's a very nice piece you found. There's something about working with metal. I have done 30 years with a Zinc Co. I also have shares in gold. Putin bought all the world gold supply between 2010 and 2017. That has now come back to haunt him. The weight of the gold bars has undone his plan. Selling only small amounts. Most Company's are happy to process dust. You did well. I think in time 1/3 of an ounce might bring more value. Good luck. I hope it's a large area. Potential to find much more. I am not in Victoria. Tas.
@andysparks1973 are you the youtube police. Why are you watching it if you have a problem with it. If you don't like it kick rocks brother. You obviously don't have any idea where it is and you seem to be the expert haha
@@fishybastards your crap comes up on my feed , a clout chasing wannabe looking for a hero . Lol, with what you are pulling i wouldnt bother new chum. But do keep being a clout chaser , and for what reason i ask again ?

This is what i love about prospecting in Melbourne. Everyone thinks there's no gold or they underappreciate how much there is. Nice work fellas

Looks like Bundoora
Panton hill produces the goods, so close to home
Great to take the kids panning on school holidays
But very over worked and small gold but yes still productive
Looks like Diamo? Great video, keep panning.
I’d agree, down near the old jumps. We found a few old mines along the track back in the day
If you wanted to sell it , do you need to say where you found it.
@PeterLeonard-z9b no you don't have to tell anyone anything

Good stuff mate if it doesn’t say anything about prospecting keep going
Warrandyte 🤔 😉
Why do you have to promote this ? Ya breaking the detectorist rules
@@Woodstylist is it a secret that there is gold in Victoria? And where do I find these rules?
Kangaroo ground is where you are , lol . Hope everyone rocks up so you can maybe learn a lesson about chasing mindless clout.
You're wrong. Kangaroo ground isn't visible from any train lines
