I find tng sumo (under control) can be very good for increasing hip mobility. It's a very aggressive stretch if you focus on opening the hips and keeping upright on the way down.
Thoughts on Deficit DL (Sumo mostly) with a pause at what would be the normal starting position? I keep thinking that it should work really well, but it's just so horrible to actually do...

Keep trying those then. Power like this must be earned slacker!!! I'm a 610 lbs conventional style Puller at body weight of 260 lbs. My competition style is sumo, but I raised my conventional pull by 100lbs in 1 year by doing rows, block deads, and a lot of support exercises.
