I bet 100% that the Shangri la will show up with one of the next legendary ship packs as the account wide unlock Legendary constitution III miracle worker as it's default skin that can be swapped out with the Con III, It'll show up after the next promo ship is rotated in because they aren't gonna let you just buy the ship they want you to waste money gambling for just yet.
If you saw the Picard episode she was about to try to kick ass on them. And in that era " science ship" is a bit deceiving.. you have to remember this is the supposed to be post Dominion War Starfleet: even 25 or so years after that war Starfleet would be much better armed than it is to be. I guarantee you that ship is armed very well
One more point: they probably can or will create a " combat," version of that ship. You could put extra torpedo launchers and phaser arrays in certain areas
Sucks that literally none of the newer ships appearing are zen or fleet but literally paid to play models. At least one or two minor ships can work as a zen or fleet ship
Do I count 8 forward photon torpedo tubes??? 4 in the neck, and two on either side of the deflector? This thing better have hilariously fast recharge times for torps.

Not a fan of the weird reflector facing rearwards and the ugly nacells, but at least she looks more modern than the Titan-A I guess? Also, could they have out the photon launchers in an area that restricted firelines anymore?
No. Nice try though. There's a whole history of who the ship is named for on the Star Trek website. The designer emphatically states it is not named for the town.

I'll tell you this much right now cuz you if I had a command ship like this if you wanted to go up against me I do my level best to kick your butt.... Because it ain't just about the ship it's about the crew and if my cruise well trained enough and if we know our stuff I wouldn't have a problem taking anybody.

She's a pretty ship. It's like someone took the Oberth-class and souped her up to rumble.
Starfleet's Advanced Starship Design Bureau has got some unorthodox minds working in their midst...
It's not the first unusual design, look at the Oberth, the curry class, or the yeager.

I don't really like the belly or secondary hull as it is, but EVERY other angle of this ship, especially from the top or from above is amazing!
