- Napoleon set his sights towards the East and launched an invasion of Egypt in 1798. The French army marched towards Cairo and met resistance from the Mamelukes (Egyptians) just outside of the Pyramids. This a recreation of the battle in Lego Stopmotion!

The napoleonic army confronted otomans and egyptians and native tribes. Napoleon won .
A longer Egypt battle sequence than in the Ridley Scott movie.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, but have heard mixed reviews…
There were a few good scenes, but overall it was a weird movie. Kind of unsatisfying.

Napoleon total war music lol. Aswell im not sure that there’s one clear casualty count for the Mameluke army as napoleons records might have been exaggerated.

Now the French lost more than 29 men infact suffered a total of 300 casualties but I’m guessing the 29 lost are dead while the rest wounded
I learned after making this video that Napoleon probably exaggerated the numbers.
Should have made the horses and camels faster. Good video.

Great movie but the casaulty numbers in the end is wrong. There was 20 000 Mamelukes who died and 200 French but still it was a great movie

i really enjoyed this video. The fact that the french only lost 29 men compared to the Mameluke loosing 10,000! that's insane. Also where did you get the music from? is it copyright free or is it from a movie or something?
Thanks! Yes it is crazy, although I learned recently that the numbers may have been exaggerated by Napoleon. 😬 The music is from the game Napoleon Total War. The first song is called 'The Battle of the Pyramids' and the second one is called 'From Egypt to France'. My video did not get copyrighted for it, but I'm not entirely sure if it is copyright free or not.

You should be able to find some of these figures on bricklink. Although some of the torsos (Napoleon for example) were custom drawn by me.

Where did you get the Mamelukes from?
Im not sure, I made them just from random pieces in my Lego collection. I probably got a lot of the pieces from Prince of Persia sets though.

Keep in mind the ottoman uniforms weren’t like Tripoli pirates they wore red uniforms with a tan cap
