What about the square of black material that's clipped to the back of the filter? It has a rough texture and I think it's like a second filter. Can I wash it or do I need to replace it?
Yes I have same question
Or put in dish washer if you have a good steamy one.
And does it matter what kind of detergent liquid?!
Can this work for a filter from a bathroom fan
Yes
In tittle fan is mentioned. U clean filter yet not the fan inside chimney
Hi Saras S, I’m working on a new Cleaning TV Series for Ricochet TV Production Company (the makers behind The Repair Shop on BBC One) & we’d potentially like to feature this video. What is the best way to contact you please?
Please email me Saras.it09@ gmail.com

Hi
How can I remove filters... I don't see any option . Do I need to remove nuts to take out this net?
No just lift up and do some trial n error you can easily pull it out
@@sarass9441 thanks... I was able to do that now .. thnks
But it is charcoal filters .. meaning black sponge sheet under that...
how to clean that? Do u have any video?
Sorry no idea
Did anybody else clog their sink from dumping the greasy water? :(
Dishwasher.
Wear gloves to protect your hands Please.
I used lye and warm water on a filter that hadn’t been cleaned in 12 years. Just soak for a few minutes and then rinse. No scrubbing required.
(Where I live, dishwasher detergent is hard to find and if you do find it, it’s outrageously expensive.)
Really? Where do you live?
@@strawberrycherryflaxseed27 Thailand. (1kg bag of detergent costs about $17; and most supermarkets / home hardware stores don’t even sell it.)
@@cecilm3720 Interesting. I just imagined it would be a staple good all around the world. It's insane that it's so expensive there.
@@strawberrycherryflaxseed27 Dishwashers and dryers are not common here.
it need to be cleaned after every 5-6 months. So how could u didn't clean 12 years?
