Zach Tom should be in the top 4 of guys you dont want to lose: his going out vs the 49ers really swung that playoff game.

Yes and no. Yes I agree the Niners game proved how important Tom is to the Packers offense. However, I would not say that Tom is irreplaceable at RT. A more stout and technically sound player could unseat Tom at RT.

Andy, ever since I discovered your podcast at the beginning of this year, I’ve listened almost every day. Great content as always, and keep it up! I’ve shared your podcast with my mom and it’s reignited her Packers fandom! Thanks for all of your work! Go Pack Go!

The Green Bay Packers are expected to level up offensively this season. A key factor is the health of 3rd-year wide receiver Christian Watson. Christian Watson has only played 23 of a possible 34 games since entering the league, and he was below 100% in many of them. We’ve seen glimpses of a fully-healthy Christian Watson, and the results were encouraging. He closed out his rookie season with 523 yards and 7 touchdowns in the final 8 games but was in and out of the lineup due to hamstring injuries last year. In a 3-game stretch against the LA Chargers, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs, Christian Watson caught 14 passes for 186 yards and 4 touchdowns but re-signed his hamstring against the Chiefs and missed out the rest of the regular season. If Christian Watson can overcome the hamstring issues and stay healthy, he can single-handedly make a significant impact for the Green Bay Packers offense. Christian Watson and Eric Stokes have dealt with the most significant hamstring injuries and became a concern across the roster, prompting our head coach Matt Lafluer to rebuild his strength and conditioning staff, a move that has already had an impact. The Green Bay Packers know how important Christian Watson is to this offense. When fully healthy, he is a game-changer. Beyond his impact when the ball 🏈 comes his way, Christian Watson changes the way defenses gameplan for the Green Bay Packers. Christian Watson’s rare combination of size, speed, and athleticism gives him unlimited upside. We’ve seen glimpses. If he can stay healthy, the Packers offense could become unstoppable. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

Injuries might just be the most frustrating thing about sports: you cant avoid them, you cant predict them and you just never know when they will wreck your chance at a Lombardi.

In 1972, the Dolphins had a perfect season. Backup QB Earl Morrall started 9 games. He was no unproven rookie though.

Thanks Andy as always,....great show. I think ya, if J- Love goes out for the year early, things are not good and you see what you have in the two back up QBs and go from there. IF he were to go down in camp or pre-season? I think they might look for a vet...if there is one worth a darn. Defence wise? Who cares, we have been without a compitent defence for so long we have forgoten what one looks like, and..... no one knows what a Jeff Hafley defence looks like anyway because there has never been one.

I think it comes down to how many injuries will cause major problems at each individual position. Qb-1, wr-4, OL 2, TE 2, rb 2, cb 2, S McKinney or 2, de 2, dt 3, lb 3 are my best guesses.

Where is the Moneyball (next level) approach to potential injuries and positional groups?
Using all NFL teams and say 2 years of data, a statistical model could be developed to provide the number of games lost at each position for the next season.
My theory is that wide receiver group has the most lost games due to injury because of all the body parts required to run fast.
Let overall injury data drive the need for position depth.

this team can't lose anyone on offense, especially QB and OL because defense is nowhere close enough to carry the team and Hafley doesn't change that as he NEVER coached a great defense in the NFL, he is just a good DB coach, that's it
